*Although Louisville started its home schedule with Houston and Clemson, a pair of terrific opponents, interest in the Cards slipped this season, primarily because of empty seats at the Boston College (weather) and Syracuse games.

A year after setting a school record by averaging 52,972 fans per game, Louisville’s average home attendance this season slipped to 49,069, a decline of 7.4 percent.

7,000 empty seats a game.

Can't WAIT for that expansion! [laughing]

ABH says he coaches his girl's team but can't produce a team picture, roster, program, or ANYTHING that shows that's a fact.

[laughing] Says they don't have a team picture.

[roll]

What kind of little league team doesn't do a team picture? (A mythical one with a mythical "coach").

I have a team photo of each of the 50 different little league teams I ever played on, in ALL sports...and that was 25 years ago. Even came with a ghetto cardboard special 'frame'

Sounds like a helluva coach.

Guess everyone just shows up in a field, they pick teams, then play ball.

fournette is still a better player than henry. you can't ignore the 5 extra carries a game that henry got, nor the fact that fournette is a year younger.

Actually only 5 months younger, fwiw.

"Still" a better player? What exactly makes him a better player? He may or may not be but curious as to what makes him one. And fwiw....he isn't this year.

That's exactly how it happens. I coach my oldest's team, and we don't have a picture. Nobody does.

After the season, maybe, but not yet.

Kind of ironic that ABH is putting Wodie in his spot via email.

Miss the cutthroat days of GYERO while in a heated discussion & you'd receive a threatening email from Wodie..

"Tread lightly. Trust me, doggy. "

" You need to stop right now before I quit playing nice. "

"Final warning. Proceed at your own danger."

A $500 bet. [laughing]

ABH and BBdK need a radio show together or something. I could listen those two bicker and ***** about each other forever.

Was talking about from any year, he's been "The coach" for years, with not a single picture.

Pretty amazing.

I don't need to be a parent to know how little league works bub, thx.

ESPECIALLY don't need to be a parent to know ABH is completely full of **** 98.7% of the time.

...our best fights, like this one, aren't fit for public consumption. He's currently making fun of my town for being destroyed by a tornado and calling my grandparents racial slurs laced with sexual innuendo & body fluids. I'll get buzzed later on, and begin to fire back, and we won't be friends for a few weeks and he'll threaten everything from getting me fired at my job to causing a divorce, and mean it.

Should be fun. (He started this one, btw...)

Wouldn't be able to understand a word they said. It'd be awful. They do their best work in text format.

Late night, you're correct.

...but we probably could make some $$$ auctioning off spots in our golf 4some. Anyone who's ever played with us would likely agree.

Text is definitely our lane, though. Just tried counting them from today, and stopped at 120, and wasn't halfway down the list. Swear to God.

...3:09am voicemail this morning was lovely as well.

Speaking of that, techies, Is there any way to "export" a voicemail and send it to friends?

Edit: Ha, nevermind. That was easy -- No clue why I never thought of this before. Anth, YGM

- Prince's threes is still my favorite clip to watch. Probably bust it out 20 times a year.

- Going through a ****** break up. Sucks because I thought it may have been "the one"...but GYERO's marriage stories make me feel a little fortunate.

She also found out about this thread about six/seven months ago and would question me about certain things I posted. Probably avoided a disaster.

- Team real tree.

- What happened to Swimmer? Underrated poster.

- Wish Gregg Doyal would at least comment on national sports. He has always been a good read, but I don't think he's commented on anything outside on INDY sports since he left CBS.

- Had a vanity plate on my first car circa 2000, "gustagus"...:flushed:

-Back in the day picture day was always the first day of the season.

-You guys have to be really drunk to be funny and you can only understand about every 3rd or 4th word. The golf 4some is pretty fun.

admin just sent a mass team email. some goob in our office building forgot to pull his parking brake on his porsche, so the sucker rolled backwards and hit the opposite wall, thus blocking traffic.

sorry, fellas. no vanity plates, so it's not our guys. 5 speed, too. im assuming xmans is an automatic. kweer.

My dad had some ****** Isuzu Rodeo 5 speed growing up. He leaves me and my brother in the car so he can run into the store. After playing with what I now know is the e-brake, some dude jumps in and stops the car from rolling into traffic. Never stuck around, gave us a GD I want to punch you you stupid fvcks look and he gone. Had we ended up on a 4 lane highway smeared with me and my brother, it still wouldn't have been as bad as Richie's Princes 5 3's is the most overrated in Rupp history.

First meeting of WVU/UVA since 1985. That's kinda bizarre.

Nice little slate tonight.

Prince's 5 threes is maybe the most overrated moment in Rupp history. TS.

Cool moment but that UNC was flaming garbage and our team was Team Turmoil, arguably the most underachieving team we've ever had.

Turbo false. Tayshaun's five damn threes in succession to start the game against UNC isn't overrated. At all. These individual events are a part of the history of a program just like wins, losses, final fours, etc. You obviously wouldn't trade a final four or a championship for them, but a program's history is more than just number of titles, final fours, wins, etc. It's ridiculous moments like Tayshaun's threes, Jodie Meeks 54, Cousin's putback to beat MSU, Last year's Kansas, UCLA, and West Virginia games, are all non-title-related moments that are essential parts of Kentucky history. I watch sports just as much to see crazy **** go down, especially for my team as I do to see our historic numbers go up. /tangent

I find this very offensive. Chad can confirm mine is a manual 6 speed, he about pissed his pants between second and third gear.

If that's when you hit 90 in a quiet residential neighborhood, then yes, I did about piss my pants.

a) False.

b) It came against UNC.

c) We had no idea how good or bad either team was yet so a moot point.

d) Came from one of the greatest Wildcats of the last 15 years or so, during his second best individual performance ever.

e) Rupp went insane.

f) It was accompanied by an all-time call from an all-time color man on national TV.

g) In a miserable season, it was one of the few bright spots. UK isn't always titles and 1-seeds. You have to and can still find joy in lesser times.

Sometimes Richie just has a terrible take. He'll go down swinging, but hopefully he'll see the light.

The cool thing about UK basketball is we all have different things we get emotionally attached to.

I loved Tayshaun Prince. He had 2 30+ point NCAA games on or near my birthday (Mar. 17). He got 31 against Iowa on my birthday, and then the Tulsa game happened on the 16th but we had to have my birthday party then due to circumstances. And the teams he played on did underachieve. But I don't care.

One of my favorite random games ever is UK @ Tennessee, 2/14/01, 103-95, Tony Harris runs into a scrum by our bench and then limps back to Tennessee's bench because he's supposed to be injured. That team STUNK. There probably isn't another UK fan who would put that game in his overall top 10. Doesn't matter to me.

So for that reason, I won't bust Richie's balls too bad re: Tayshaun's 5 3's being overrated. I get it. I just disagree.

* Told you Lon Kruger was underrated. Senior Day '94 vs. Florida, another random underrated game/Rupp performance.

Sorry, folks. Most of my nostalgia for that team went out the window the moment we lost to WESTERN KENTUCKY on opening night in Rupp.

Should be able to revere that moment but I don't bc I can't separate it from all of the stupid **** that team ran down it's leg non stop all season.

Loathed Team Turmoil with a burning passion. Most despised team in my lifetime. A bunch of prima donna punks who'd rather get high & disrespect the entire staff than win. That team should've been really good.

And a big, fat false to whomever claims that as the loudest Rupp moment ever. That person probably never attended a game in Rupp during Pitino's first few years ( LSU Feb 90, Kansas Dec 90, Louisville in Dec 91) or any of the hyped games with some of Cal's great teams (UNC 09, UNC 11).

Wasn't sure what to think or feel about UK football. But alas, Chad, I go to one game every other year, and don't go in until halftime, chimes in and tells us how to feel. Thanks brah.
The good news, he only post once a year about UK football, and then he will be back to asking who was the best left handed ball handler on the 1984 team.
