Dakari would be a Godsend on this team.
We'd just roll Dakari at center, Skal at PF, Poytress at SF, Murray at 2G & Ulis at PG w/ Briscoe off the bench.

Main reason I like Dakari is bc once when the team went out to eat at O'Charley's and the waitress brought him a plate of chicken he was like "Can you go fry it or somethin'"

1. Sheppard- adds outside shooting, elite athlete, good defender, experience
2. Chuck Hayes- this is cheating, but he was NOT drafted, great rebounder and defender inside, smart, makes everyone around him better on both ends
3. Gerald Fitch- adds much of the same that Shep does, mostly a terrific outside shooter and defender
4. Estill- terrific interior scorer and good shotblocker
5. Pelphrey- outside shooter, smart, can play the 3
Give my left testicle to have a Darius Miller on this team but just remembered he was drafted late 2nd round.

I think you could do a lot worse than Randy or Estill. A back to the basket post scorer is probably what we need the most, because I think our shooting will eventually come around, but Jamal Murray isn't going to grow to be 6'10" 250 lbs anytime soon.
Gimme a Sr. John Pelphrey, although I reserve to change my pick to a few players I'm surely forgetting. But this team could use a 6-7 sharpshooter, veteran, and tough-as-nails competitor.

Estill was so underrated, but his complete no show and being punked out by Jackson vs Marquette forever taints him to me.
Jason Parker was a boss. What a waste.
Shep wasn't drafted either, but I was never a huge fan until that tourney run...plus he shanked both of our shots at Mike Brent scramble.

Good point. Before the day is over it will be which Unforgettable would you add to this team.
I also understand that Morris's stats weren't necessarily in line with the eyeball test, but 16/8/2 would be the best, on paper, low post presence we could have given the criteria.
Again, I get that in the real world he probably would bring a lot of negatives to the table, but that stat line is underrated because of those teams performance and the fax finding mission (lol)

I get the big man takes, but I think we'll come around. I'm more concerned about shooting at this point. With the way we can penetrate, we could use another shooter to spread the floor.
I also look at the other contenders- teams like Kansas, Duke and UNC- and the ability to contain the bounce and to get into the paint is going to be HUGE this March.

The game is a dozen days away. (You think I’m going to write about U of L vs. Kennesaw State?)
But in addition to my daily checks of the computer rankings posted by Ken Pomeroy, Jeff Sagarin and the Ratings Percentage Index, I found a site that collected nearly two dozen other rankings. (Great, I’ll never get any work done.)
Here I am with more U of L-UK chatter to headline the Monday Muse.
1. Computer Rankings Trending Toward Cards
Last week, Pomeroy’s numbers had UK winning by five in Rupp Arena Dec. 26. Now the numbers say four.
Last week, Sagarin’s number had Louisville winning by 3.28 in Rupp. Now the numbers say Cards by 5.88. Sagarin ranks Louisville first in his predictor formula. Kentucky is merely No. 24.
The RPI also favors Rick Pitino’s team. The Cards are ranked 12th, the Wildcats 16th.
