Agree with Richie about the "total sociopath". He is, and I don't think I realized that he was when he was coach here but it's also part of why he's a great coach. Cal is a much, much better man than Rick. Rick and Bobby Knight are very similar. Both are capable of charitable acts which to their fans are supposed to make all the other BS palatable but it absolutely shocks me the lengths fans of those coaches will go to excuse their behavior.

At the Hyatt I saw one guy walking around in a red pimp suit with a shirt that said "Louisville Recruiting." Other than that, really didn't see or hear anything about the Hookers. Never saw Katina.

one last thing re: Pitino flipping the bird, this is going to happen again. And this is what we all, as smartfans in GYERO, saw coming as soon as the whores erupted. It's going to be a long season on the road in conference and there's going to be much harsher crowds than what was there on Saturday. But hey, this is what UL wants I guess.

I don't think that's true, SK. He's gone on record multiple times saying it was a mistake to leave, it was Camelot, etc. If the guy is finally giving UK and its fans a collective "get pumped," not sure I can really fault him for it. I'll still remember the good days, and how they were dope.
Yeah, you're right, it's our fault. You sound like a battered spouse.

SAE, look at me son, it's not your fault Ricky took a job at our arch rival. It's not your fault he tried to stick his nose in coaching hires here to weaken UK for his own benefit. It's not your fault he has a Cards! tat on his back. It's not your fault he has embarrassed himself with numerous sex scandals. It's not your fault he takes passive aggressive shots at our fan base and program any chance he gets.

Let it go. Like Chase said, he just isn't that guy anymore and we don't owe him ****. UK bball was going to rise again with or without him. It was hella fun while it lasted, but any stain on those memories are his own doing. Not ours.

He can GGP. Not saying I'm for the banner coming down but it's a more reasonable conversation than some of you make it out.

I get all of it, recently I have just chosen to remember the good in spite of the mountain of bad. It's just my personal path. Please try and respect that.

Love seeing Showkiller get fired up in a gyero post. Haven't seen that out of him in years.

If you take it down, you just open Pitino up for sympathy and invite criticism toward everyone else who is up there. Don't open that door, because once you do, a lot of people are going to walk through it and start going through your dirty laundry. Rupp to come down because he was a racist. Farmer because he's a felon. Chapman because he's a pill head and thief.

Well ****, our best poster has gone soft for the new year.

PTI has forgotten how to capitalize, punctuate, and format.

Bbdk is MIA.

What's next, Richie going to leave us for the D league?

I fear for the future of this thread.

I think that's a fair point.

Short of going OJ Simpson, not sure of a reason to ever remove a retired jersey as rich pointed out.

Speaking of Rich, you feeling better bud? Leaning back to the optimistic side with me?

I think I am just jarred from seeing Rick Pitino flick off UK fans in Rupp Arena. I know I didn't feel this way Saturday morning. That, combined with the Holidays and I'm all mixed up in the head.

It's beginning to look more and more like Stoops is trying hard to be a disciplinarian, but is failing to establish any discipline at all. That's probably a bad thing.

Dawson, on the other hand, appears to have been a player's coach and perhaps coddled a few of his "favorites." That would be a big philosophical difference.

I don't care what we do with Pitino's banner, to be honest. Leave it there, take it down, whatever. I'm just ready for him to go away and leave us all alone. It's always been about him from day 1 and I can't wait for whatever spotlight is left on him to fade away.

I won a Rick Pitiino regulation sized signed UK ball fair and square playing pop a shot against grown *** men when I was 9 and nobody can take that away from me. His banner will hang in my head forever, tbh. Long live UK Rick, that poor bastard.

*If you think Rick wasn't 10x the adulterous POS at UK then LOL. Dude had it made. Can't imagine how many coed babies he killed.

2.4 is very good. Gd I thought stoops was recruiting "good." We should barely have a 2.0 and have to cheat a little bit to get there. Got a long way to go, obviously.

Exactly, then when the time comes hang up a bigger, bedazzled CALIPARI banner right next to the Pitino one, kinda pushing Pitino's behind the red AC ducts or something.

Let's just not fill any of the vacancies. Save our money up for the inevitable buyout.

Anth.. Yes, of course I'm feeling better.

This team's energy level was literally 1,000,000 x better than what it was against UCLA and Ohio St. The spacing was better. Dudes were bouncing around the court.

Of course it all starts with hitting outside shots. When they start to fall it's like a windfall affect on everything else. The court opens up, you play D a little harder and naturally the crowd gets really into it.

Think Cal did a masterful job with this group from a psychological standpoint when they got back from the break. We were loose, playing with so much energy and having fun. He touched on that at the half saying the team had been playing too arrogant because of the name Kentucky and wanted to get to the basics of being scrappy, playing with energy & fighting.

Rupp was awesome on Saturday. She loves the big moments and was rocking.

There was some scuttlebutt that the Cincy QB Gunner Kiel could potentially follow the OC if he came here. I'm all for upgrading talent but I can't imagine that would do anything but completely mind touch that locker room.

I see him coming, winning the job, causing a complete uproar, throwing for 250yds in the first half (all of them to CJ Conrad) against Southern Miss, then getting his 19th concussion while up 38-3 in the fourth quarter.

Drew replaces him and we set a record for largest lead given up in NCAA history after he deliberately throws 4 Pick 6s.

A side bit of enjoyment, we would have two quarterbacks on the roster named Gunner/Gunnar.

Sounds like it's pretty well done. I'm assuming he was wanting confirmation that Stoops would be back in 2017. Pretty nice hire considering the circumstances.

7th in total offense for the year with a HC that is a defense guy.
