Eh, UNC is a different scenario. I understand the problems that come with that decision as it's very complex and over a long *** period. UL is pretty straight forward. Verify texts, verify cash changed hands, case closed.

UL is going to get hammered. The fact that we haven't heard anything about that case in a while doesn't really mean anything. Investigations, bureaucratic nonsense, putting together charges - all that crap takes a long time.

Regarding him possibly leaving for UNLV... Don't ever discount his arrogance and ego. It's all about him. In his mind he built UL so he should not be implicated in any of this and absolutely shouldn't have to sit out any games.

Could see him leaving if the NCAA says he has to sit out some games.

Barely anything happened to Miami football and that case was way worse in terms of paying players, etc. UNC is the bomb of all bombs and nothing will happen to them. The NCAA is too scared of schools leaving to truly hammer a program. Hell they backed off the worst stuff at Penn St. and in a few years Franklin will be back in the Top 15-20 as if nothing happened.

If Louisville gets a slap on the wrist it needs to be open-season on cheating. No rules. Whores, booze, cars, cash. Hire some shady former player who knows how to keep his mouth shut and let's go to town. I feel like the Harrisons might be perfect for it. They're cool under pressure, seem like they don't really give a f***, and when the NCAA comes around to ask questions they can pull those twin tricks where Aaron tells the investigator he never spoke to him before, that was Andrew, and Andrew never even met Chastity, that was Aaron, who wasn't even employed by Kentucky. They'd never figure that **** out.

While true, that case really fell apart because the NCAA **** down both legs during the investigation. If the NCAA doesn't ruin their own investigation in that one, then Miami probably gets deported to Cuba.

Miami also self imposed a bowl ban three consecutive years. Hardly a slap on the wrist.

I'm pretty sure 73 knows the reason behind why on stuff like this 99% of the time yet disregards just so he can argue. He's a smart guy who follows sports seriously. He's knows damn well why Miami's case didn't go through.

I could be dead wrong... but he just signed a $51 million deal 6 months ago. Can't imagine walking away from everything because he misses the tourney and has to sit out a few games against directional schools. He knows what kind of job he has and what kind of job UNLV is.

Also, the Miami case was built around a convicted felon doing time for fraud before he disclosed. The Louisville case is built around an admitted, but truthy, ***** who was mad because Louisville is racist.

Exactly, we haven't heard much lately because there is nothing new to report.

He's never been as good as he was with Bill Raftery. I'm sure that's not a coincidence.

Raftery being Raftery let Bilas be more of his analytical self and didn't force him to try to do too much w/ the bad jokes and over analysis. Bilas gets in trouble because he feels he has to constantly speak, reiterates himself wayyy too often and hammers his crappy opinions home as the lone color guy. Less is clearly more with him, TMFS.

Sean McDonough and Billy Raftery are fantastic together regardless but when they had Bilas as the 3rd wheel it was top notch ****.

Please don't compare UNC to Louisville & their situations. Carolina is the foremost NCAA poster child going back decades and will no doubt be given any benefit of the doubt possible by the NCAA brass. Plus, there is a ton of grey area with that deal and the academic fraud. Not to mention they are a major national brand and the human element says the NCAA understands their importance to the game. Still believe nothing will come out that and the NCAA will pin it on their football program or one of the women's programs.,

While UL is a top 7 program they aren't relevant on the national scene at all and I highly doubt the NCAA gives a **** either way about protecting them. They're almost in purgatory. Good enough of a program to make an example out of them but not a Duke, Carolina, or Kansas that would receive some benefit of the doubt & perfection.

Picked up my first pair of basketball shoes in probably 20 years Saturday. Went w/ a marginally ugly selection, brought to you by two of my least favorite players of all time: Michael Jordan & Carmelo Anthony.

Anybody watching that O.J. show on FX? Starts tomorrow.
I want to and will probably forget, adding "Hey, you watching that OJ show on FX? Whaddya think?" to "Hey, you watched 'Making a Murderer' on Netflix? Whaddya think?" as the questions MaxPowerrr gets asked the most in social settings these days.

AV Club gave it a good review - which I did not expect. There's so much good TV (too much, really) that I don't want to waste my time on crap. Might pass and watch it later on Netflix or whatever.

Ordered this for my boss today for his birthday this week, kind of a selfish office present. BBdK, what was the trick to getting it to sit on the tee?

Hold with 2 hands chest high like a kid holds a sippy cup, Start with the ball resting on the bottom on the far side of the tee from you, quick flick of the wrist back toward your chest & then back to neutral & let it 'climb' up the tee into it's resting place.

I'm auto on that thing.

Yup.,. Ole Scottie D himself holding court at FABD the day after we lost to South Carolina in early March 2014 telling everyone within earshot that Cal was taking the Knicks job.

"DONE DEAL."

" TELLING YOU. HE'S GONE."

"THE TWINS KNOW IT AND THAT'S WHY THEY AREN'T PLAYING WELL."

"TERMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN REACHED."

Sure thing, crater face. I'm certain Cal's people in Lexington are leaking information to a Division II coach . Blabber mouth bastard.

Sweet mercy that run in 2014 was total vindication.

God, how pompous demoralizing ******* was Pitino's head patting presentation of "decent shoes" to Davenport after his D3 title? No idea why I watched that... but if anyone ever treated me that way I'd be dunzo with them.

Is it D2 or FCS or some non-sense? Honestly, I don't give a **** about sports there. Particularly golf. Bellarmine golfers were just the worst.
