In his interview with Rothstein linked above, Pope said Lowe has the highest 3P% in summer 5 on 5 play and Oweh is focusing on his defense to be the best defender in the nation. Pump that sweet, sweet irrational summer enthusiasm into my veins.

Edit: Norlander referred to Brayden Hawthorne as a "redshirt freshman" and Pope didn't correct him. Is that confirmation that Hawthorne is going to redshirt this year?

Meanwhile, Danny Hurley is on Rothstein with the rare flatbill, topbutton combo -- looking like the classless ******* that he is. What a (to quote Cal) jagoff.

Kook- the season may be over by the Texas game, go to Ole Miss.

Hurley has Jan Brady syndrome. Bobby got all the attention. He'll never get over it. Mental health issues led to him sitting out awhile in college.

Hopefully, Hawthorne and Potter both redshirt. I've always been a fan of the useful redshirt. When used strategically and correctly, they really help mitigate the loss of upperclassmen as well as focusing on player development. Pitino always used them well. I hope Pope will do the same.

Speaking of Pitino, I love how this team resembles some of Pitino's great teams as far as loads of depth and versatility. Pope knows how to build a team and, after just one year, he's already making the necessary adjustments to the roster that were needed, namely the defensive versatility and athleticism.

The excitement for this coming season is palpable.

OCTOPI! Man I love those things to eat and as an animal. I’m starting to get to the point though where I don’t know if I can consume them for pleasure with their intelligence and magnificence. And I don’t care if animals are cute or not, I eat them all, but when you start to get to their level of brain power it gets tougher.

Maybe it’s time to start farm raising them idk. I worry they’ll get pretty wiped out with the current consumption levels and popularity.

SWIFT! New album is supposed to be back to bangers. Can’t wait. I’ve moved away from my pop tastes (See: Wallen, Morgan.) over the last year but I’m going to be all ears 10/3.

HEART ATTACKS! Almost two years removed from mine and the cardiologist, whom I very much respect and like, now decides we could/should do a heart cath. He said I bet 90+% there’s no blockage but I would rather be sure. Not sure if it’s an insurance money move or actual precaution tbh. It was healing really well the last 3 ECHOs but is somewhat plateauing since my last and that could just be normal.

I mean, I’d like to know but I’d also like to be able to tell any FD that’s thinking of hiring me that I didn’t need to get a heart cath/stent. Just not good timing at the moment. I would for sure say yes after I was hired.

On the other hand, he said if I did need one there would be a noticeable difference in my air and endurance so that would be pretty dope actually because it’s already prettay prettay prettay decent.

He did say either way he’s very happy where it is now and I’m a full go in any case but he’d like to be able to check the box so he’d feel better.

Any experiences with these?

LANDLORDS! My landlord and his gf who are both 10 years younger than myself and I have become really good friends. We share a backyard and I’m in their MIL suite since I moved here. We share the backyard/pool area and they ended up getting a dog because they loved having my boy Buster around all the time. Buster and Summitt have become best friends and just go in and out and eat at each others houses at their leisure. They often nap together, yup it’s adorable. They watch Buster when I’m out of town and vice versa.

So last night we all go out for drinks (a matcha latte is a DRINK mmmkay!) and apps at a soft opening for Southern Grounds in downtown St Pete (we rode bikes there 😉) where she’s doing the photoshoot for them. Anyway, he goes to grab another beer and she tells me Andre got a little sad the night other worrying about me moving out and he didn’t want someone else to move in, depending on where I get a fire gig. I told her I felt the same way.

I can’t imagine moving out of my place (even if rent is almost half my first years FFing pay lol) unless I move to the lady or she and I move in together here. It’s awesome to have such good neighbors/landlords. Plus, when I’m on shift here for 24 hours they’d be happy to let Buster out a couple times a day.

No reason for that story I reckon besides it’s great to have good friends next door in this world. 😃.

A Taylor Swift fan to boot, of course. I really love jamming to some Swift while slamming back a couple matcha latte's , mmmkay !! Too much fun I tell ya !!

JFC, It has to be an act, no one person could have so many terrible faults.
😂. Listen man, the people I was with were having wine and beer, I don’t drink. They had coffee, it was 8/9pm, didn’t want a coffee that late. Never had a matcha latte, so figured why not try it? It was a soft invite only opening and everything was free anyway. Guess you don’t enjoy trying new things, typical.

Oh but you maybe want to know I wasn’t a huge fan, maybe if it had some honey or something in it, could’ve been better.

You may see me lifting #500 deads or #400 squats, maybe #225 Bulgarians and think he’s probably listening to Killing In The Name Of… which I may be, but I also may be listening to Cruel Summer 🤷‍♂️, I do what I want/like not what you think is cool.

Got irate watching the Reds so popped on my all-time favorite UK football game- Louisville 2016.

We were in Williamsburg visiting my in-laws to be for Thanksgiving and I had just proposed the day before.

We made plans to go to Richmond that day for shopping and eventually dinner. My FIL is British but a big football fan so he and I decided to catch the game at some sleepy downtown Irish pub. I warned him we were like 15 point dogs and on the road likely to get our *** kicked but I think he welcomed some dude time.

It was fantastic. He and I halfcocked yelling and screaming at the TV while other patrons were completely perplexed.

A bow on one of the best, most consequential weekends of my life. Totally unexpected. F’ing MacGinnis, man. I hope I can buy that dude a drink sometime.

And that’s why I hate cutting Stoops loose. Come on man- give us something.

Inspired by WCCs story:

Fall of 2018. Group of UK alums circle the wagons to attend a cancer fundraiser scramble for a buddy’s mother in Middletown, OH. We golf, we drink, etc. Celebrate the life of a woman gone too soon.

Many beers later. After the buffet and the silent auction, a few fellow diehards sneak out to a bar in a strip mall. We finagle one tv in the corner and UK has a breakout game and routs Miss St and it’s a celebration. The locals had no idea UK were even playing.

Point of the story, our buddy who had lost his mom had snuck out with us. A few draft beers, being in a trusted group of buds, watching our alma mater and favorite team—he was himself after all that tragedy, even if for just a few quarters.

It all adds up and it all matters. That game was a bright spot that our particular group brings up often due to the circumstances. That’s my rambling story for the night, the end.

At this point, there is no doubt that the FCPS’s leadership is inept and is in desperate need of new direction, but do you have any other takes to add?? The only takes that you bring to GYERO pertain to FCPS.
I understand that you have an axe to grind but Jeez Louise, lighten up. What do you think about the football CATS? How about the basketball roster that Pope has assembled? Boobies?

Inspired by Lamars fumble, I decided to watch the last 5 minutes of our Duke game last year and then a nice little encore with Duke-Houston crunchtime.

I’ve watched it 10x now and still don’t understand how those douchebags lost that game.

Duke-Houston was definitely one that you couldn’t believe what you were seeing. A total choke job by Duke. I was at the the UK- Duke game in Atlanta last year. It was glorious!!
From time to time I’ll go back and watch the 98 Duke game. We closed that 17 point deficit in a flash. We were spoiled as UK fans by that point because of the run that we had been on under Pitino. That 98 team had groan men on it. Little flash and all substance. Heshimu Evans! 😍

The 2016 football game and last season's Duke game is my go-to, feel good after a bad day, watch. I would love to find a Leach/Piccoro entire game call to go with the video. That ESPN duo was a f-king joke and almost openly rooting for Louisville, trying to argue against Lamar's fumble is my only issue when I rewatch it.

I reiterate that GYERO needs a life update from KrazyKats and I would like some pics and an update on the chick that challenged WayneDougan to some 1 on 1 basketball in the driveway. TIA
