It certainly wasn’t the raw-dogging I thought we were gonna get… but I think Kirby and Lane get free Ruby steaks for life if they don’t blow out the Cats

It is what it is. And what it is is uninspiring, lukewarm, boring, underachieving poop.

I would be far less pissed about losses like this (where our HC clearly does not understand in game preparation) if he wasn't paid like a top 10 guy with a top 5 guy buyout.

The ROI is incredibly poor.
This. 1,000x this!

Pay him 5 or 5.5 million a year and I would be more patient. 9 million for this, though? Not worth it. Also not worth it: his 40 million buyout, which is due ONE MONTH after his termination iirc?

Those 3 possible points we passed up 2 possessions ago would have been cool to have in that last drive.

This team is better with Cutter. I hate it for Calzada but if he just torn his shoulder and it forces us to play the better QB then there is no pressure on the decision.

There is no excuse for the disorganized mess we saw over and over. Headsets not working not covering up the BS when we already blew all our TOs on the same disorganized mess.

I love Stoops and wish it was better but unfortunately most things that end, do so badly.

Kiffin gifted the UK bettors a TO to allow for that FG, thanks dude.

Just enough to keep BBN from completely checking out, I guess. Brad White is the most competent person on this staff. Dude can flat coach.

Oh wow..

Stoops just announced in his post-game press conference that he's stepping down. Unbelievable.

Says he's been battling an aggressive case of pubic lice and he has to get inpatient treatment.

He then held up the following photo:

The announcers said at one point said Calzada was considering the draft but Stoops asked if he would like to come to UK and he said yes. He knows the draft ended like in 1973, right? Cutter wasn't perfect but he's clearly more comfortable and you build for the future. It took Woodson, Johnson, Hartline a year for it to come together so it's stupid not to be using him now.

I’d really love to know how many 3 and outs we have as a percentage of all offensive possessions. It has to be staggeringly high over the last 3 years.

Afraid we truly can’t afford stoops buyout now. We could have a few years ago pre nil and not to be political (because I voted for Trump) but with the hospitals now going to get cut amount of money they get from the feds (which I’m still unsure how I feel either way on that..that’s a very big conversation). But with those two hits to the university, I just don’t know that they ever make decision to fork over large amount of money to stoops. I think he has to walk on his own or a major fan revolt that causes revenue loss.

End of this year he hits something like $66m total from UK (not including his bourbon take) for an avg of 3 SEC wins per year over his career. We had a real nice run for a time but its time to get him to the table.

Its sad hes failed at offensive football in this league for too long. Keep white and get something done. We can still celebrate the guys accomplishments if he does this the right way this year which I still have a strange feeling that he will.

Pretty much the long and short of it. We're saddled with that relic for at least two more years. That contract belongs on the Rushmore of college athletic department F*** ups...

Imagine if we were still saddled with Cal's folly as well. Fortune smiled on us in that circumstance.

I know Mitch is well-regarded for SOME things that he's accomplished, but those two situations, IMO, completely move him into the red. IOW - on balance, he's been a failure, and a really EXPENSIVE one.

We joke about turning the offense over to Gran….but it’s probably not a bad idea. I mean, it’s a bad idea, but look at our options. There are no good ideas available.

Gran at least understands Stoops and his hatred of the forward pass. They would be on the same page, at least. Handjob is clearly in over his head, but in his defense, imagine trying to do that job with Mark’s fat stinky *** hovering over and micromanaging you 24-7. The result is what you saw today. While Liam Coen and Shannon Dawson profit.

The fat drunk will never again be able to hire a credible OC - the book’s out on him. So give it to the dinosaur, and direct snap it to the two RBs or Law every down. See what happens. It worked once. Get six wins and retire with a shred of dignity, a harem of skin cancered wrinkled hookers, and a warehouse full of Old Nut whiskey.

Loser.

Regarding Mitch, don’t forget the Billy Clyde and Joker F’ups. The dude has had multiple, horrible material results. Yet, here we are.

with that said, I would like to take a moment to say “hello” to krazykats. Great to see you’re alive and kicking dude. I really need like nine thousand words about what the hell’s been going on with ya the past few months.

LOL at Nico Iamaleava getting killed at UNLV a week after getting killed at home by Utah. Him and his pops deserve all the football failure the rest of his playing days. Bet he's broke before he's 25.
