I had a previous user name affiliated with the email address, and forced me to delete the account… thus, started over with correct handle.

- Not a huge brewery guy- as in, not a regular stop in my hometown- but they’re usually a cool atmosphere. Hit up New Belgium today which is what- a Top 5 national craft brewery? Cool place.

- Two things I know about Gen Z - they’re always suspicious of being gaslit and they always have receipts.

- GYERO isn’t going F’ing anywhere. I’ll keep it alive myself. It’s “replacement” is nothing but a fratty MAGA circlejerk. To all those in that text thread - eat my d***, c***s.

-I'm sure we'll get used to the place. There's been several transitions and updates that changed the formatting and it survived. GYERO has always made it. Come football szn we'll all be commiserating together.

- I'm very ready for youth baseball szn to end. I love it, but... man. We all need a break. Got a little weekend off and it was glorious.

-Why was I born a ******* Reds fan? I'm just condescending about them 100% of the time these days.

-Muji .5 blue gel pens are the goat.

-I thought Thunderbolts was alright. Red Guardian character was enough make me hopeful for the future.

-Breweries are cool but craft beer is bullsh*t.

-Typically reserved for cat 5 hangovers but I'm gonna raw dog(go completely sober) and try out a new spicy egg mcmuffin.

-I need a micro retirement, which is apparently just a couple weeks off work where you go out of town. That activity needed a name, I'm glad it finally got one.

~ While technological advances are certainly a positive quality of life change, it's number 1 ******** that you don't get a physical ticket for most concerts these days. It's also number 1 ******** that most people watch entire shows through their GD phone. Put that **** down and live for a few minutes Ainsley, you ****.

~ Speaking of concerts, the Ozzy farewell show was much better than I anticipated. I was terrified he was going to be a vegetable out there but you could tell the old man still had it. Tony Iommi is one of the coolest people to ever live and the lineup of bands that "opened" for them was basically a who's who in metal. Sharon did her best to ruin the fun in a multitude of ways, but it still turned out pretty well and ended up supporting a good cause.

~ Hawaii on Sunday for 10 days. Kids first time flying ever. One of the few trips where I don't at all have to worry about my wife over packing every damn item in our household. Real ID's made it in the mail today. Brother in law was talking about laying up most of the week, hella false. ATV excursion, zip lines, beaches, observatory, a few days at a Disney resort, luau, drunkenness and hopefully a fair share of incidental debauchery will fill those 10 days.

~ Anyone else just get burnt out existing, as in period? Not just work or kids, but just the tedium that is consciousness? I joke all the time that I would pay a pretty penny to essentially shut down for, say, a week at a time to reboot the batteries. These middle years seem even worse for the long day/short year adage and no amount of switching things up seems to break it. Maybe it'll get better when my kids are a bit older. (I'm not unstable or depressed, just feeling like groundhog day.)

~ I can't at all get excited for a football recruit coming here until I see something different from the coaching staff. I've said it before and I hope it actually happens, but this is probably the worst I've felt about UK football since hiring Stoops and we usually overestimate where they will end up so hopefully that trend stays true and we overperform. I'm not convinced a ****** 4-8 season gets anyone **** canned with Mitch at the helm, so hopefully we pull some upsets.

~ I used to think the titles Rivals listed based on your post count were corny (i.e. All-SEC, All-American, etc.) but now I find myself a little perturbed that there is no difference between Chad's 500k posts and my measly 10k vs someone who just joined. Lame.

Edit : Hell yeah, Irish Beck is dead!

I was about to wax poetic about how it's unfortunate that the GYERO archive seemed to be lost media, never to be found again, but it's back.

Still not sure what to think about all of the new usernames though.

Apparently there are quite a few regulars who are still stuck in the transfer portal. I did notice that some of the original post counts are back.

Yeah, JDrum, lock this one up and we'll go back to the AP.com version.

- Tried the spicy egg mcmuffin this morning. It's a nice change of pace. They did give me a sausage egg mcmuffin instead of a regular egg mcmuffin though but I soldiered on and ate the mistake.

- Looked at the forecast yesterday because I wanted to play golf, it was showing 100% chance of rain between 2 and 4. Decided to play anyway and never even saw a drop.

- My swimming pool is inching towards warm bath water territory. It gets full sun all day.

- Driveway is starting to look pretty rough and in need of some attention. We paved it about 12 years ago and it was expensive then. It's probably doubled in cost by now.

- I'm a fan of The Black Jacket Symphony having seen them multiple times in Lexington. Looks like they are going to be there in September to perform songs from the yacht rock era. I don't really have a strong opinion one way or the other about yacht rock.

I watched Back to the Future last weekend, pretty sure the same thing is happening here. You are not supposed to interact with your other self, screws up the space time continuum.
