- Really not much to speak on as I won’t discuss divorce stuff.

- Distillery is suffering quite a setback and I’ve got a grip on understanding why/how.

Bullitt did not have jurisdiction during establishment and state didn’t really ask the questions they should have.

Now Bullitt has jurisdiction again and hired an inspector from Nelson County that knows distillery codes well.

Therefore the fact that the state did not catch high hazard zoning and did not require us to have explosion proof grade electric(not sure if it exist on plumbing) was a mistake we have to correct.

Not the end of the world but does increase the cost significantly, but the bigger issue is we have to have it drawn which is a 2 month process, then approved which is at discretion of the inspector, and then we get to work only to then again have said inspector check us out at his discretion.

Time consuming is the worst of it, but they didn’t shut us down which they could have.

- I about got fired at the new lumber sales place. The guy I followed quit and is uprooting his family to S Carolina. They can’t replace him so basically I do not have a manager which means I report to the VP of the area.

He is a ok, but doesn’t take kindly to truth and really doesn’t like blunt truth. So when we had a dispute of pay per my contract that I was due, he then let me know his opinion on an account I manage which is his national sales team could handle it for less pay.

My immediate response, based on the knowledge that would fail, was F it do it then because those lazy *** order takers can’t handle the account. We got off the phone agreeing to disagree, but when I got an email for a job walk 1st thing the following morning I didn’t hesitate to forward it on and asked who’d be handling that.

That did not go over well.

Oh well, my old employer has reached out to bring me back in the last week so I might be going back there anyway as I don’t trust most of the people I work with.

- 3 kids in Fall Baseball and 1 of them has been asked to come out and play HS football too once school started.

That kid played football but never got a shot to really play which is his fault as he is immature.

Regardless as a FR he is 5’11 190 and that’s at 13 because he is the youngest possible kid in the class. We wanted to hold him back to start because he was a 9/30 bday on the last 10/1 cutoff, but she was going into 3rd trimester and didn’t want a kid at home.

In drills he is already the biggest at MLB and as fast as the starter. His other position is DE as they think that’s where he could grow into and that position is weak but he just isn’t strong enough there yet.

Regardless, I’m wore out keeping kids where they go.

- I’m not near as down on Stoops/UK Football and mainly because I thought Ole Miss, Beamer, UF, UT, Auburn and UL could be beaten. Now I don’t think we can’t knock off UT, but I’m not impressed with Arch so I’m not sure how we could pull off a Texas win but I didn’t expect to beat Ole Miss last year either.

- I am way higher on UK basketball than most. Not just because I called Pope to UK 4 years before it happened, but because something tells me we get #9 next year.

Athleticism will not be a weakness, and if I’m honest I’m not sure what our weakness will be because I feel like we have everything.

- Cubs are going and I love PCA and Kyle Tucker(have to resign him). Cade Horton is no joke.

Poor Reds fan has to hate owning us the past 3 years and we still are better than them.

- I’ll stand on Dallas did better in the Luka deal………….. and now I’ll add that Dallas did good trading Micah Parsons too.

Time will tell but paying a LBer as much as QBs can not be a recipe for success.

- Last thing, kids really got us into roller coasters this summer.

I’m only 45, but let me tell you if you haven’t road them in almost 25 years all those warnings about don’t ride them if you have health issues are legit.

I didn’t even have health issues and those MFfers were throwing my balance and stomach into a delirious mess!

Felt like Handjob was in the booth for the Bengals today. Happy for the W, obviously, but my lord, that franchise has some demons that will just never be exorcised.

And the Reds….let’s just mention that I have an IRA connection through some old Iron Horsemen contacts. And Bob Castellini lied to me, and to a city.

Loathe to do the back to back post two days in a row, but I am inclined to say this: the current stretch of weather we are in is an all-timer. I try to sop up every moment of this unfiltered, golden light (hat tip for the science - Century) every chance I get.

August and September have been horrid the past few years. This, this, is like a never ending weather orgasm.

krazy, that is some ******** with what happened to you with the local administrative buffoons. Those people are the worst. “Hey, we’re a great city/county to do business in! Let’s talk about incentives!” False. The reality - we’re going to bleed you to death with the million razors of our antiquated and unending process and procedure requirements. Will even send some goon to your establishment, probably named “Drew,” who somehow has the authority to unilaterally shut down a multi million dollar investment. Despite Drew living in his parents basement and pulling in 43k year.

maybe not as impressive as throwing a No-Hitter high on LSD but impressive none the less.

My namesake! I've met Chester, and have an autographed helmet from him. I was watching that game when it happened. The last time I was at a Packer game, we went through the Packer HOF and they have the football from that play on display. It wasn't behind glass or anything, and for a fleeting second I thought about grabbing it and taking off. LOL

Musings from a September Saturday at Kroger Field
• Good crowd and a good atmosphere. The weather turned out to be near perfect by game time. Tailgating was fun and beers were drank.
• The 1st quarter was perfect UK football on display, but as a UK fan, you know it’s all a facade, and the other shoe is gonna drop. 4th and inches and welp! The crowd gets that “here we go again” vibe.
• What more can be said about clock management and wasted timeouts? The timeout after the change of possession timeout tells you all you need to know about the OC. Embarrassing!!

• Calzada retreating 10-20 yards exiting the pocket. The receivers are catching a lot of heat, but there were some guys open yesterday that he didn’t see because he’s locked in on one guy. Go with Boley and eat your money spent on the 7th year senior.
• The running game and defense looked good overall. The Ole Miss QB was rattled when pressured. The quick out to his arm side was their best play.
• We’re a pretty good FB team that lacks any semblance of a passing game or coaches who can fix it. We have a small margin for error and Stoops and Co. will give that margin up with their ineptitude. 💯
• This contract is unfathomable. What was Mitch thinking?? That wasn’t a negotiation. That was an agent drawing up a proposal of “here is what we want” and Barnhart giving a thumbs up without negotiating one bit. Unbelievable. I still blame Michigan State and Mel Tucker and Mitch of course. If not for the great folks at Tyson chicken, we would be stuck with two of these contracts. 🙄
• If we win 3-4 games, there is no way Stoops comes back right?? We’re going to miss on Sumrall aren’t we? The sharks are circling on a few SEC coaches and it’s just a matter of time before he’s off the table.
• As UK football fans, we are calloused and thick skinned. I left Commonwealth, shaking my head, having had a great time. If I had left Rupp after a loss like that, I would have been mad for the next week. Expectations lead to disappointment.

Game was a perfect summary of the Stoops Era. Solid Defense, good running game, good OL play, QB and OC are disasters. Both QBs, multiple times, turned the wrong way to fake the hand off on a PAP. Lol. Just an average day for the the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR (coordinator being the key word) and we win that game going away.

That being said, how many OC/QBs get sacrificed at the alter of Stoops before it's the 10 million dollar man's problem?

Just a maddening game.

What exactly is Bush Hamdan's strength as an OC? As far as I can tell, he's bad at every aspect of his job. Stoops tends to hold OCs back, but the last two seasons have been a total disaster. If anything, Stoops' insistence on vanilla, run-focused offense should make play calling and organization simpler.

CMS seemed very pissed about the offense in the post game presser, and Bush had a look of embarrassed defeat. I think Bush has one more shot to get things right against EMU or it's Gran time. We'd be on the same page and lean into our strength. Might be boring, but it wouldn't be this comedy of errors.

Happy Birthday to GYERO Original, Wodie!
Happy Birthday Hap GIF

-Not sure how many UK home games Im going to want to attend in person this year. Sad for a guy that has 12 season tickets.

- Did get to watch my kid beat Danville Saturday, so that was a plus. He did a better job of running the offense than our UK QBs did.

-Not only UK Football and Cubs fans at our house, we are also Bills fans. (Trying to teach my kids early that life is cruel) 3rd Quarter of last nights game, sent the 11 year old off to bed as we had pretty much figured our Bills had no chance. As I followed along, figured I would wake him up to watch the winning field goal of such a historic come back. The little **** was still up, watching from youtube TV on his iphone. Dad wasn't mad at all as we high fived, hooted and hollered way past his bedtime. Damn what a game!

-Please get everything in order with the distillery as you'll be signing it over to me effective November 22.

-A perceived weakness is folks think we'll have is 3-point shooting for this year and I think that's mostly because folks don't think Lowe will be a good shooter.

I disagree since Pope will have him taking much more efficient shots in this offense; it will be a change similar to what Butler did from 3. I think overall this team (while not having an elite shooter like Brea) will shoot more 3s and have more good options than last year.

Lowe/Aberdeen/Oweh will lead the way in attempts and all will average about 35% but I think our bench will be by far the best shooting bench in the country. Chandler/Jasper/Noah/Williams/Jelavic are all really good weapons from 3. BG and Mo D will hold their own from 3 as well.

We led the league in % last year but were 5th in attempts, I think our attempts will increase to over 30 a game.

-I'll believe it when I see it with Tucker resigning. Cubs have never gone over $200 million for a long-term contract before and there will be teams involved willing to go up to $400 million like the Giants/Phillies/Yankees/Dodgers.

-You are on an island with a lot of your takes especially the Luka one.

Just like an overpaid athlete who is just showing up to collect checks, can we just simply "bench" Stoops ? Tell him, "hey you are still the coach (we are not firing you and paying you the buyout), but you will sit your asss on the bench and have ZERO game input or decisions. You will not coach the team during the week at practice." "Either take a lower buyout, or we will ruin what coaching career you have left by making you truly lame duck coach with no input."
I know that no one would ever do that, but it would be both hilarious and a hell of a bargaining tool. I am not being serious about it, but damn I am fed up with the circus that was UK football. Could you imagine the announcers doing the broadcast "Well Greg, UK has put their coach in timeout and has isolated him away from coaching the team, has there ever been a head coach benched, literally ?"

Here's a list of the Top 20 highest paid CFB coaches (according to ChatGPitty):
  1. Kirby Smart - Georgia - $13.3m
  2. Ryan Day - Ohio State - $12.5m
  3. Dabo Swinney - Clemson - $11.1m
  4. Dan Lanning - Oregon - $10.9m
  5. Deion Sanders - Colorado - $10.8m
  6. Steve Sarkisian - Texas - $10.6m
  7. Licoln Riley - USC - $10,0m
  8. Kalen DeBoer - Alabama - $10.0m
  9. Mike Norvel - FSU - $10.0m
  10. Bill Belichick - UNC - $10.0m
  11. Brian Kelly - LSU - $10.0m
  12. Mark Stoops - UK - $9.0m
  13. Lane Kiffin - Ole Miss - $9.0m
  14. Eli Drinkwitz - Missouri - $9.0m
  15. Josh Heupel - Tennessee - $9.0m
  16. James Franklin - Penn St. - $8.5m
  17. Brent Venables - Oklahoma - $8.2m
  18. Mario Cristobal - Miami - $7.8m
  19. Mike Gundy - Okie State - $7.8m
  20. Luke Fickell - Wisconsin - $7.7m

There is an imposter (or maybe two, Deion 👀) in that list. Stoops is a bad football coach. But that's all magnified that we're paying him a salary equal to (or above) coaches that field teams expecting to make the CFP Playoff and win Natties. If any one of those coaches went 7-6 then 4-8, losing 8 straight home conference games, they'd be on their ***.

I think we should have rolled with Boley and not recruited over him and used those resources we used on Calzada elsewhere. The inability to develop a quarterback has exacerbated all of our offensive woes with Stoops.

I think you're right. The revolving door of transfer QB's is a band-aid, and not a very good one. Successful programs develop QB's in house. But that takes good coaching and commitment. And I don't think Stoops even knows how many downs you get on offense, so he's no help at all when it comes to "developing" QB's That's why he just goes the transfer route.

There has to be a reason all these OC guys effin’ blow donkey under Stoops. Stoops probably dictates to the OC live, what type to call (run or pass) - then OC has to call the actual play. Which adds a step in the process and completely gets botched if shít isn’t automatic. If stoops is blasting an official for a **** call, he’s delayed in his direction upstairs.

I don’t blame Calzada. The play calling for both down/distance was atrocious. He’s getting the de facto benching (I think) - for mouthing on national broadcast - “what the fück are we doing?!?”

I saw Cutter warming up on sideline, prior to ‘injury’.

Stoops said postgame that he doesn't call plays but he and Hamdan had a conversation after and agreed that they should've run it a lot more whatever that's worth. I would say that he did micromanage more of the prior OCs and ran then off as a result. The current OC he is just waiting until after the game to do it.

I'd bet the Down Home distillery I'm about to win that if Stoops is back next year that Hamdan won't be. And while that may be a net positive, the revolving door at OC results in no continuity which hurts in recruiting/developing a QB, etc.

Stoops: "Disappointed, but feels like the team played winning football through most of the game, but big mistakes at critical times. Have to capitalize on those opportunities."

No, you half-witted dipsh*t. Ole Miss stopped shooting itself in the foot and comfortably controlled the last 3 quarters of the game.

MB still a good AD or nah?

On the set of Filthy Fortunes. It’s hoarders but for collectibles and valuable stuff.

We have had a blast these last few months traveling and picking up large deals.

I have been to zero games and watched from home. It’s exactly what we all knew it was going to be. Get pumped, Stoops/Bush/Mitch.

We don't know if Boley can even play and you want to put all your eggs in his basket? I'm not sure he's the answer either.
