I stand firmly with the staff at Telluride. As an employer, your obligation doesn't start and end with providing someone an income in exchange for a job. No, no. It goes far beyond that. It's your duty to offer a high liveable wage beginning a $30/hour and indexed to outpace inflation, extended breaks throuighout a shift in compliance with OSHA regulations, fully paid health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits for the employee and all of their dependents, free child care, affordable housing, a robust employee assistance program covering mental health visits, adult dependent care, paid time off, travel reimbursement, vacation, retirement assistance, continuing and higher education stipends, laundry and uniform services, parking, transportation, shift meals, grocery delivery, affordable pharmacy and prescription drug programs, FSA, HSA, HRA, and 401k/tax-advantaged wealth planning tools, a fully inclusive wellness program, gym memberships, on site direct primary care, and a section 125 compliant pre-tax payroll deduction strategy.

WTF kind of racket are you people running up there in Telluride?? What a disgrace.

Now that’s the type of snarky, nuanced response that has been missing from around these parts for far too long.

It reminds me of the old Dennis Miller joke about stewardesses being more bitter.

Banner day in the Diggs household.

Xmas returns today. Wife wanted a certain pair of leggings. Turns out, they were awful. How awful? Amazon told me to keep them and just will return my money.

Plenty of soccer today to get us through to some half assed bowl games tonight.

-Occured to me tonight that our last SEC champion team had Tyrese Maxey as the *second* most important guard. This season that would be Oweh? Last two weeks have totally flipped my perspective. Need to go down to Tuscaloosa and let our big guys beat the hell out of them.

-Not here to downplay the difficulty of the SEC, but Will Stein is not stepping into the best it's ever been. Looking forward to how they build this team. No reason you can't build a solid group this year. Hell Stoops was close this past year.

Happy New Year! On way back from south Florida:

1. Gulfstream Park - Gorgeous facility. Put it on your list of you like racing and seeing different tracks. Feature race trifecta pulled daddy into the win column. Also went by the old Hialeah, now just a casino and simulcast facility, but still maintained. One of the great old tracks. Flamingos now inhabit the infield.

2. Snorkeled off the coast of Jupiter with two 8-foot long bull sharks (no cage). Incredible. I could have easily touched them several times. Check out Florida Shark Diving if interested. As best I can tell, the marine biologists who accompany you on the tour have to be extremely hot ladies if you need extry incentive.

3. Everglades airboat ride. Weather a little cool, but still saw several gators.

4. Key West - Hemingway house and Truman Little White House very interesting. An original "Dewey Defeats Truman" in there along with his actual "Buck Stops Here" desk sign. Hemingway grounds full of six-toed cats that are very people friendly. Duval Street a more laid back version of Bourbon/Nashville downtown. Just a beautiful, neat little area.

5. Also, as a huge Miami Vice fan, I visited the marina where Crockett kept his houseboat. Great market down there with classic Miami vibes.

GO CATS! 🐱

Swimming with bull sharks or the wait to see if Patrick Sparks' shot was a two or a three which made you more nervous?

Seeing the sharks in the water right next to me got the heart racing and I had to keep telling myself to relax and just breathe normally. Two things made me feel safer:

1. The marine biologist girl was literally straddling a bucket with the chum shark bait, so I figured she'd be the first one to get bitten.

2. The guy next to me on the rope line was about 6'2" and probably 300+ pounds, so his gut alone would have provided a way better snack than all of me put together.

Oh no Kentucky just lost the 13th best QB in the league. What will we ever do?

Boley could have started at about two other SEC schools. Maybe. (Only the Missouri QB threw for fewer yards) Stoops offense so ugly we’re over here pining for a kid that throws for a buck ninety a game, lol.

Arizona State will be perfect for him and his silly haircut.

I wish we had that Tom Crean mug on our sideline… IU boat racing Bama in the playoff wasn’t on my bingo card in September.

Mendoza is the best QB in college football. He is surrounded by a really good defense, great run game and solid WRs and great coaching.

Also I believe most of their best players are there for a second season which has allowed them to be experienced upperclassmen that have gelled as a unit.

I hope they win a championship but it won’t shock me at all if they also fall off a cliff next season when all these players move on.

Kirby Smart is an idiot. That call to go for it on 4th down from their 30, down 3 with 10 minutes left should be grounds for termination. IIRC he did something similar last year, too.

I really don’t understand football coaches anymore. I get analytics, to a degree, but whatever happened to time and feel for the situation? They leave so many points on the field and gamble in the dumbest spots.

Yeah, my 14yo is super into college sports and I was having a hard time trying to explain to him why I was pulling for Alabama to boatrace Indiana. On paper it doesn’t make any sense. I should hope Alabama loses that game. But I just can’t pull for Indiana ever, in any sport. I hate them.

Yeah, they sucked last year without Mendoza. (11-2, 2nd in B1G, 10th in final AP poll...with an Ohio U transfer who played all season with an ACL)

I'm sure they'll have off years like any other program, but I don't see them falling off a cliff anytime soon in this era, with IU's new comittment to Football -- guy is clearly a genius.

We be firmly backing "The U" for the CFB championship. IF their D plays like it did against OSU, why not ? Have always cheered for the U as my second favorite team,,,, UK being first of course, LOL.

-Another great experience with Bryant HVAC. Solved our office's heating problem quickly and efficiently. Thanks, anth!

-It's so awesome to see Ole Miss winning, just to put it in Lane's face. Man this has to be a gratifying run for those players and coaches.

-I'm sure Bama fans were looking to the other sideline yesterday saying Cignetti should be THEIR guy. Ouch, what a beatdown. I've just never been sold on DeBoer being a good fit there. Partially because you don't replace Nick Saban with a millenial named Kalen. He's their bridge to the next guy.

Ray Perkins, Bill Curry, Gene Stallings, Mike DuBose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Shula, Joe Kines were the long bridge to Saban from the Bear.

They only have to wait 2-3 years until Lane Kiffin gets an itch again.

In all fairness, they played an absolute joke of a schedule last year and lost to the only two ranked teams they played.

This year is something else though. Good to see Bama get Bama'd every once in awhile.

Give me Oregon, Ole Miss, The U please. Would be happy with any of those options.

Cats trying to pull off a Cutter for Leavitt trade with ASU he had a great year in 24 and they won their conference. He’s the #1 player in the portal according to 247.

Some are saying we’re the favorite for Baxter the RB from Texas. We’ve been linked to some really good wrs so far too.

Oregon and LSU also involved so it could be a tough row to hoe.
