I stand firmly with the staff at Telluride. As an employer, your obligation doesn't start and end with providing someone an income in exchange for a job. No, no. It goes far beyond that. It's your duty to offer a high liveable wage beginning a $30/hour and indexed to outpace inflation, extended breaks throuighout a shift in compliance with OSHA regulations, fully paid health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits for the employee and all of their dependents, free child care, affordable housing, a robust employee assistance program covering mental health visits, adult dependent care, paid time off, travel reimbursement, vacation, retirement assistance, continuing and higher education stipends, laundry and uniform services, parking, transportation, shift meals, grocery delivery, affordable pharmacy and prescription drug programs, FSA, HSA, HRA, and 401k/tax-advantaged wealth planning tools, a fully inclusive wellness program, gym memberships, on site direct primary care, and a section 125 compliant pre-tax payroll deduction strategy.

WTF kind of racket are you people running up there in Telluride?? What a disgrace.

Now that’s the type of snarky, nuanced response that has been missing from around these parts for far too long.

It reminds me of the old Dennis Miller joke about stewardesses being more bitter.
”I gave up a career and a family for free airfare to the Bahamas!”

Banner day in the Diggs household.

Xmas returns today. Wife wanted a certain pair of leggings. Turns out, they were awful. How awful? Amazon told me to keep them and just will return my money.

Plenty of soccer today to get us through to some half assed bowl games tonight.
