Allegedly at half the price. It's a gamble, for sure, but it's where we are now unfortunately.

If ASU really did pay 3M for Cutter, we weren't going that high for him anyway. That's bordering on Leavitt money and there's a stark difference between those two players.

Hopefully Kenny is more like Will than Brock.
Heard that we tapped out on Leavitt at $5.5 and now the offer is 7. Hopefully Miami and Nebraska keep driving the price up. LSU will end up having well more than twice of what we'll have for NIL I'd guess. Rumor is we got Minchey for around 2 which is helpful in the fact that we saved money that we need to spend on the rest of the roster

No House Settlement yet creating rules/limits/collective bargaining on NIL is actually good for us in that we are needing to build an entire roster. It's bad in that you can't get in bidding wars with the LSUs of the world though.

Sticking with a decent, hometown QB because it is convenient is the sort of Barnhart / UK AD risk averse thinking that I hope we get away from.

So far, I've been impressed with Stein. He doesn't seem to be screwing around.

Of course, as we are seeing with basketball, it is really easy to be optimistic when all you have to go on is promise at the outset.

I think Oweh is pouting because he thought he was getting drafted after last season: he busted his ***
but bad feedback means face reality, take my money, loaf and maybe go to Turkey or somewhere

Here's my problem: the head coach can't go on and on and on some more about the name on the front of the jersey and then allow his behavior and attitude

Enough with the politicking coach: actions speak louder than words

No one is offering Leavitt $7M for one season. Not gonna exceed that of Sorsby.

Paying $2M for a QB who has thrown 29 passes in 3 years is also way out there in fantasy land....."but", if true, that is a worse signing than Stoops contract.

Nebraska apparently originally offered Minchey 1 million and he was gonna have to compete to be their qb1. Then before he signed they offered him less than what his original offer was.

Does Minchey have more mobility than Boley? That will be key to running the offense, supplemented by a capable offensive line.
A lot of guys run well when they have open space but I did not find Boley especially nimble in the pocket. Can't argue with his production.
Neither are particularly fast but Minchey is able to navigate the pocket better it seems and throws better on the run.

Boley was good at picking up yards when nothing else was available and guts out yardage by putting his shoulders down and trying to blow up dbs that was fun to watch but puts him at more of an injury risk.

Still need a stud receiver and some good good olinemen obviously but I think keeping DJ Miller, Rodriguez and Gilmore would help immensely.

Today I'm going to focus on the simple, yet finer things in life.
  • I'm staying in an AC Hotel. They sell these half bottles of Josh Cabernet in the lobby. In my room they have chilled drinking glasses in the fridge. Across the street is a Wendy's. I go and get a Dave's Classic Double w/ Cheese, bring it to the room, and have it with that Cabernet in the chilled glass. You're eating better than 99.5% of the world today with that combo.
  • Some people swear by saunas. Others (including me) prefer steam rooms. But if you can't get either there is nothing like a hotel with super high water pressure with a temperature setting a few degrees over what hot water heaters are set to. As a frequent traveler, I can tell you that you won't typically find this at a nice hotel. But I've had the best shower of my life in a Comfort Inn in Greensburg, IN with that set up. Even had the old school shower curtain.
  • You ever notice how back in the day, people wore nightcaps? I'm not going that far, but I've become a fan of letting the air get down to like 65 in my room and loading up on blankets and a solid set of pajamas. I feel like that's how we were supposed to live.

Apparantly, LSU and Kiffin has tampered with the QB that signed to stay at Washington. The **** announced he was in the transfer portal during a memorial service for a UW women's soccer player who died of cancer, and most of his teammates and coaches were in attendance and blindsided by the news.

Washington is saying they will enforce the contract and make him stay put.

Who is advising these kids to ignore a signed legal and binding contract? What did Lane say to that kid about breaking the contract?

You need an 8Sleep at home, doggie. One of my greatest joys is turning the heat down to 65, getting in the hot tub outside in January and February, and then sinking into a warm bed controlled by an AI supercomputer. Temperature contrast is the truth -- literal bliss.

I read an article about historical sleep habits once that I can no longer find. My memory is that prior to ubiquitous adoption of the light bulb, people averaged close to 12 hours of sleep. The fact that I am typing this on an electronic device prior to the sun coming up, when my health would be best served by sleeping until the sun rise wakes me, suggests to me that maybe we haven't progressed as much as we like to think.

* Matt Kalil is a diabolical genius. His ex-wife went on some livestream and claimed that his dong was so big it ruined their marriage. Even described it as 2.5 coke cans.

And then Matt sued her for invasion of privacy, turning an issue that no one ever cared about into published articles and legal record for antiquity affirming that he packs a hog. Well played. I am sure his current wife wants to stab him (and probably sue the ex for fraud, if I had to guess).

* I hope the Veryforgetables beat Missouri tonight. Go Cats.

8sleep is a luxury item but that MFer is amazing. Highly recommended, especially if you and the the significant other disagree on ambient temps. I'm a top 3% cold sleeper in the world. Aiming for 1% in 26.
Well if you have to be a Top 1% at something, Top Cold Sleeper certainly is a real accomplishment. Congrats to your own going efforts to become the coldest sleeper in America.

I'm not knocking it because it sounds awesome but $5500 for a mattress pad and adjustable base is something.

We go with a dual zone heated mattress pad and separate blankets.

And a yearly subscription fee, too!

Waterhead is such an edgelord. Sleep is probably my second or third most enjoyable activity in life, as it should be. at being too cool to shut your mind off for a few hours.

@funKYcat75 Ahmad Breaux ain't bad, neither.

I, mostly joking, tell people all the time I would pay good money to just go out for a week or even a month at a time. I don't sleep well (which is 100% my fault) so I always feel drained and generally angsty about sleep.

When you get that good sleep where you lay down and don't move for 8 to 9 hours straight though?

Just wait until you get to the place where you sleep in your own bed. Talk about a game changer. I can use as many or as few blankets as I wish, have an entire mattress to myself, nobody telling me to “roll over” multiple times and that doesn’t even begin to touch the flatulence freedom associated with it.

This is right up there with making sure your gal takes many girls trips to offset your many golf trips. Life Hacks.

Alright, yall are selling me on the idea. Pod 4 suffice or splurge for the pod 5 with blanket, etc?
The Pod 4 without the base or anything else is what I have and we adore it. The last time they upgraded, they sent me one for free and they've replaced it at least one other time, too. Fantastic customer service. Seriously.

Be prepared to hate it and think you want to return it for the first week or 2. I'd start with it on zero and just let the Autopilot learn you rather than trying to program it, but then again I'm not looking to be a one-percenter like anth.

After it learns you --> Valhalla.
