Notre Dame averaged 78 pts a game. We picked our poison. Take away the 3 or risk penetration. Wasn't our best effort by any means. Just wouldn't say we got worked.

They're going to come down, way down. People just throwing **** against a wall because it will stick for a lot of sales but the tickets on the street aren't going to be 2-3k each.

Re: GYER38-0

--Wisconsin (erm… "badger
") fan is really confident. Really confident. I know that I'm freaking out more than most just because I'm surrounded by it… but GD I want to beat their asses so bad.

--I can't break down X's and O's as well as most of GYERO, so I don't ever try to. I know my role. Hell that's half the reason I read GYERO. So to go by intangibles… just hoping that based off their most recent performance, Wisconsin is overconfident in their shooting all week, and we're motivated by our relatively poor performance. Wisconsin comes out loose but bricks some shots and after that they struggle to find their shot the rest of the night. If Wisconsin just played an awful game and we were coming off the WVU beatdown, I'd feel better but I'd know it wouldn't be replicated, so I'm convinced the reverse is also true… and I'm talking myself into feeling confident for that reason.

--One thing I really don't like is that Wisconsin is on spring break this week. Those dudes are 100% focused on this game every second this week. I get why Cal says the stuff he does about focusing on our team, but I really hope it's partly a media farce and that they're scouting Wisconsin well. They're beatable but you better come with a plan that's more than "let's just play our game."

--Flying to Lex Friday night, have to come back Sunday night. I was in Lexington last year when we beat Wisconsin. No way in hell I'm anywhere but Lex this time around. Pretty much all of the Wisconsin fans I know want to watch this with me. If I really didn't like these people I'd do it, it'd be a way to guarantee that none of them will ever talk to me again. Let me burn that bridge in a year, still got 15 more months of living here.

Re: GYER38-0

Wisconsin is the sexy pick right now because of Saturday's games. We looked vulnerable and squeaked by, they looked awesome against Arizona. Not saying it won't happen, but carryover from one week to the next in the tourney isn't a guarantee by any means.

+1. Totally agree. Indy is a good site, but the lack of hotel rooms takes away from the whole ability to be able to enjoy the experience to the fullest. If this is going to be the case each time in Indy go ahead & remove them from the list. My preference is:

Nola, SA, ATL & I guess Indy.

Exactly. I get this is going to be a tough tix, but if you are a UK fan you at least have the benefit of waiting for an hour or more Into the first game if you want to get tix for far less. Yes, most would like to watch the first game but as far as I'm concerned as long as you get in for the UK game at severely discounted price, who cares??

People also need to understand that no school has issued tix to their donors so those tickets have not hit the market to drive down the prices. As soon as each of the schools starting handing out tickets on Thursday & Friday prices will start coming down significantly. No way should anyone pay more than $600-700 per for decent lowers if you wait it out till game time & that's probaly still high.

Century Cat prefers there be a "travel barrier," in order to make it HARDER for fans to attend. How in the world can anyone agree with that?

Re: GYER38-0

Pretty simple:

:pay $5000 for a room downtown, and $15000 for lower level tickets. If I did the exact same scenario as in Dallas w/ regard to Great Room location + Good Ticket, it would be more than I've spend on EVERY UK trip combined in the last 5 years.

It's going to be a blast, but I'm mainly going for 'the scene' -- Hell, you're driving UP AND BACK for each game, basically for the exact reasons I listed above. You wouldn't be doing that if you could get a fair hotel room downtown.

I can definitely see why some could think Indy is "too close" -- when the average Wildcat Fan can't even afford to make a nice weekend out of it, with regards to a Hotel + Tickets.

2012 - Nola - purchased 2 lowers behind the basket, around row 20 for $185/ea and got hotel just outside the Quarter for $95/night for 2 nights. Can't even begin to touch that this year.

I'm flying back from California on Friday night. I figure I'm going to check tix during my flight and if they come down I'll buy them and drive straight from Louisville to Indy.

Exactly.

Of course, Century referring to it as "Amateur Hour" was
, and classic pretentious Richard -- but it being so close definitely has it's disadvantages, which I'd argue they definitely outweigh the advantages.

Um you are going by ppg? Well there is this thing called pace and you can be highly efficient on offense but score low points. Both teams were highly efficient and we got worked compared to our usual great defense. We were worked. Need to nip that this week.

We're going to spend less than Houston and NOLA and that included a flight on the charter. Prices are insane. Rack BBdk. Don't have to spit on the BJW's, god love em, because this isn't their fault at all. It's the NCAA.

Todd is about where I was thinking for decent seats $5-600.

Hotels are finally opening up... at $1000+ per night.

Don't like this negative emotion going into the week. Even got a little sore throat and feel lousy. Just bombed some nyquil. Peace, ninjas.

Anyone who has HBO should check out the "Going Clear" doc about Scientology. It's really well done and bonkers.

Also- the hard core Scientology people refer to L. Ron Hubbard as "LRH". Not sure if he's a HOF LRH like CRP though.

You're still hung up on this? Don't you have other stuff to worry about?

Sure, I said it in a very inflammatory way (and you obviously swallowed that bait and you're still choking on the line nearly 2 days later). But I later owned up to doing a very poor job of making my point, which I had done in haste. But the underlying point is still valid, as everyone is seeing today, as outrageous prices are unfolding.

Aren't you supposed to be Mr. Econ? Pretty simple concept. Fixed supply, increased demand = hjgher prices for all.

Learn Final Fours. Better yet, don't learn them and go run the Fargo Ultra-Tri-Race for Self-Esteem this weekend.

Ok St talking about firing Ford who would get atleast a $9.5M buyout. What idiot ever agreed to a contract structure that would allow him that big of a buyout?

Anybody watch that show on Netflix "Bloodline?" Stars Coach Taylor, made it through 3 episodes, a little slow.

Better Call Saul has been excellent, kind of bummed the season finale is next week.

Danger 5 is pretty good on Netflix, but you have to be in the right mindset to enjoy it.

Heard a Todd from Lexington, KY call into the First Team on Sirius # 91 to talk about the lightning rod that is Kentucky/Coach Cal.

Guy was throwing out all the cute coinage and UK hater terminology like it was his job...up until he abruptly was disconnected. Bummer.

Was that you, TMFH?

It's the second season.

I'm sure the 1st is available somewhere if you want to catch up. I caught some of it last year. I'm a sucker for historical dramas.

Re: GYER38-0

It's easy to be pessimistic about Saturday's game.

"Wisconsin's just a better version of Notre Dame."
Not really. They're more efficient offensively, but they have no Grant on the perimeter to get things started. And after what happened in Cleveland, there's no way we don't put forth a better effort on that end.

"It took a miracle for UK to win last year."
UK's significantly better this year, and the main matchup problem for their best player will actually play this year. As will a top 2 draft pick who's 7 feet tall. Last year's result will also help get our guys motivated, and if they're motivated, good things happen. And UW hit 8 threes last year, while we hit 2. Doubt that happens again.

"Did you not watch the games Saturday?"
I think this actually works in UK's favor. No way they follow up a C+ effort with another one. And it's highly unlikely Wisconsin can shoot 98% from three again. (It's called "recency bias," if I remember correctly from college.)

I think this one sets up well for us. 74-65.

-Man, lots of polarizing opinions on the man. He's a crook, he's the only coach that does it right, he's the devil, he's a renaissance man. Interesting stuff.

-Feeling a bit better today. Crashed when I got home last night. Slept 13 of 15 hours from 4p-7a.

-Several meetings the next few days that should help the week fly by.

-Weather looks

I'm blocking out most all of the clutter this week. Just nothing really out there that's original or interesting to me at this point. Reading more spring practice reports than anything, actually.

Tip it and let's roll. JMO.
