You said “like it’s some sort of national holiday.” Juneteenth isn’t “like it’s some sort of national holiday” — it is a national holiday. Learn English.
I’m supposed to learn English yet you’re the one that twice now has cut off part of my comment so I look like the idiot. Why do I keep engaging with such a loser.
but here it is again in case some poor poster things you aren’t a complete dip.**** troll poster.
That is me. What makes it different is I didn’t have to make something up about the poster. The guy took the day off to go fishing and you know his reasoning was because it’s Juneteenth. Then he’s dumb enough to make a post asking what everyone else is doing for the day like it’s some sort of national holiday that everyone gets off.

You freely make yourself look like an idiot every day of your life, bud. You don’t need help in that area, bud.

It's well documented that this weekend historically has been marred by gun violence.

Whatever you choose to do this weekend, please stay safe.

Do you ever wonder why it's so important for you to seek out attention from anonymous people on the internet? And, you're so f***ing bad at this. It's just tedious reading your posts. So boring.

The thing is, emancipation day is actually more worthy of a national holiday than a number of the ones that preceded it. It marks the country taking the action to get through its original sin.

But Jesus that name. It could be on any one of seven days.
You should run this by the Black community before you definitively state what a "more worthy national holiday" would be, because you aren't right.

I think I celebrated in a fashion commensurate with the holiday. I got up and went to a class filled with MILFs at the gym, then I watched a multi-cultural US men's soccer team win a World Cup match at Iowa City's #1 lesbian sports bar. Nothing says reconciliation like a reuben sandwich paired with slaw and tots. Smoked wings to go for my dinner.
I looked around a few times to see if @HoggI74 was parked on a stool at the bar, but everyone seemed to have too many teeth to be him, and nobody was wearing a Cardinals wife beater.

Where at? I'm still trying to get the wife to agree to retirement in the Duluth - Two Harbors corridor.

About two miles north of Grand Marais on 61. Two Harbors is way closer to civilization and an easier sell for your woman.

Indeed, but, there are practical things to consider, like being within 25-30 miles of a decent hospital as we age. Some cultural and sporting events to be had in Duluth, especially with UM-Duluth there.

UMD hockey games are great. Also got UW-Superior over the bridge. Great golf up there, too. My dad said Superior National recently sold to new ownership.

I will be headed up to Tahoe for the 4th, and the Tahoe Basin reportedly has the highest density of black bears on Earth. The development my home is in is surrounded by forest, so we see bears wandering through from time to time. They break into unoccupied homes from time to time, and that happened to my home in April. They make the rounds of the dumpsters every single night, in the hope that some renter or guest who does not understand the phrase ("A fed bear is a dead bear") forgets to relatch the chain after tossing something in their dumpster.

Thankfully, black bears tend to be afraid of humans, and are very wary of loud noise or bright lights. They invariably take off running when confronted by a human. But grizzly bears are a whole different matter. Although my alma mater's mascot is the "Golden Bear" (a California specie of grizzly bear that is now extinct), it is a good thing that they are no longer living in California. Some eco-nut group wants to reintroduce grizzly bears in California, and is proposing to do so in the far northern part of the state, up near Mt. Shasta. That is a frickin' terrible idea.
Some people need to read/watch Jurassic Park lol

The first time I heard of Juneteenth was, likely, 30 years before you "progressive" dipshits did when Tack Biden put it on the calendar via altruistic political expediency.

I saw a commercial, shortly after the end of the school year, on KWWL where some black lady (MUCH LESS ANNOYING than today's black ladies) was talking about "Juneteenth" (and how wypipo don't be seasonin' dey food).

Then it disappeared until Joe Budden brought it back, TOTALLY ORGANICALLY, to honor Saint George.

I honestly can't believe you even posted this- are you in the Klan? Like seriously, you really posted this on a public forum for anyone to read? "and how wypipo don't be seasonin' dey food" in faux black voice might be some of the most racist shi t I've ever read online. You'd get your as s beat in a second down here in the south if you EVER said anything like this.

Stay in Iowa. Please. For your own sake.

😭😭 Jesus you're an idiot

"was talking" then proceeds to make fun of someone else's English. Astounding.
