VT 1992 - not a lot of people left in the stands, given how bleak it looked at 49-37.

Navy 2005.

And, of course, Louisville 2006 with my then 12 year old son - such an amazing atmosphere down on that field - it was as if all the pain and heartache of a thousand lifetimes had been lifted from all of us.

Did it 1974 at Princeton. Was also at Michigan game but just sat in stands and took it all in while waiting for son who did storm the field.

In reality we would have went bowling regardless of what happened that game but would have had to sweat it out a bit. BE had 4 bowl bids at the time- BCS, Gator, Insight and Meineke. That year only 4 teams finished with winning records- WVU, Louisville, RU and USF. I do remember an article on this site that said after the Cincy game, the Inisight Bowl rep went to the locker room and told the team something along the lines of, ‘the invites don’t go out until tomorrow, but I wanted to personally tell you you’re our team.’

The field rushes I was part of:

-MSU ‘04
-Navy ‘05
-Cincy ‘05
-UL ‘06
-USF ‘07

I was at Army ‘98, Pitt ‘05, cuse ‘06, Michigan ‘14 but didn’t rush (Army, Pitt and cuse were all losing teams and while I can appreciate the Michigan win I enjoyed just looking at the scoreboard from the stands and watching it all unfold). I still kick myself for missing cuse ‘99.

VT in ‘92 was my frosh yr
Ville in 2016 was...,not

Thought about going on the court in ‘96 at half-time of RU vs #1 UMass hoops but chickened out. We were winning, but that wasn’t the reason students charged the court and caused 2nd half to be postponed.

My first ever game my freshman year we rushed the field... Buffalo in 2003 lol.

Then again Navy 2005 and Louisville 2006. Missed USF 2007 and watched from the stands for Michigan.. too old for that s*** now!

I wouldn't call it exactly "storming" the field , but after the Syracuse game 1999. Brought my 4 year old and 6 year old on the field. Wasn't that big of a crowd.Can't believe how good it felt to finally win a game.
You really don't know how losing sucks so bad til you get a win. That was a great upset

My kids were in the mosh pit after louisville a 5th grader and an 8th grader.
They had a blast!Seemed like they were gone for hours.
Honestly don't know what game was more gratifying - to beat a top team on national television or to finally win a game after a horrific season.
This week we're playing Michigan (a conference game) in the Big House. Don't think you younger guys know just how far we've come.

IIRC cuse did end up making (and winning) the Music City Bowl that year but the loss to us did pretty much ruin their season from a perception standpoint.

I seem to recall that 1979 was Larry Bird leading Indiana State to a perfect 33-0 record heading into the championship game vs. Magic Johnson's Michigan State team.

was at PSU 1989 seats were 5 rows behind the PSU bench so you think I would have as a HS senior, but I'm old now and can't remember!

2014 Michigan (oh wait, people are going on the field, quick, let's go too kids).
Something I always think about before games is: Is this rush the field worthy if we win?
(We've been very close but lost a couple of those where it was a "yes" answer. state penn in 2014 and Louisville in 2012 stand out, plus snow game vs wvu. Those losses where we were oh so close hurt. I look forward to the next rush the field time with tons of fans as it's one of my favorite things about college football).

You are so correct about PSU 2014. That would have been an epic storm the field. Probably would have been dangerous as hell too because of how charged up that stadium was

Yes, Louisville 2006. It was a magical night! Walked from the stadium to New Brunswick, Easton ave. was packed, went to the harvest moon Every NY station was playing the clip of Ito's kick. What a night! I was 38 then Now almost 50 and ready to do it again!

Yes for the Centenial game when we beat Princeton, but I don't remember much. Almost for Louisville. I got to the field and thought that if everyone was jumping around, I could beat the traffic and watched for a bit and left..

Michigan 2014 and VT way back in 1992. I was at the SF win in 2007 but was too high up in the stadium.

A lot of the ones already mentioned but not this one...

A homecoming (I think?) against BCU. Might have been a dare. Weaved thru Band to try and climb on the old open end’s goalpost. LOL

2007- football vs Louisville was easy.

The much less known one was 1999-2000 vs #20 Syracuse. Huge win by Dhantay Jones and the boys before he transferred to Duke

I generally do not participate in mob scenes.. I prefer to watch. That is, I like the idea of it.. I like to see it.. I do not want to participate in it.

South Florida 2007. I remember standing next to Anthony Davis and just thinking he’s a absolute monster... and he was a true freshmen.
