Theyput togethera committee to hire a Sun Belt HC.I will admit I don't know much about the history of OM and how they've handled coaching searches before, but their administration has to be entirely more delusional than their fan base if they really thought bringing in Archie would get them agood coach.Tony Dungy? Really?How could agroup of people think Tony Dungy wouldtake a job atanSECschoolthat had won 6total games in 2 years. All of these visions of grandeur clouded the realization that they are in complete disarray right now. Their fans finally got it, but their administration obviously hasn't figured it out yet.

They could havemade a hire like Mullen and gottenMcGee from Arkansas who hasSEC experience and learned under a good coach in Petrino. Young, driven, knows how to run an offense, and learned under a good HC as an OC. But theystayed with someone familiar with the program in Freeze. To me, this is about as underwhelming a hire as they could have possibly asked for.Bear nation can't be happy at how this search turned out.

surprisingly isn't in Austin. It is located just a little north of Dallas, in Sherman, I think. Austin College is a small, selective, expensive private liberal arts school. It is similar in that respect to Trinity College in San Antonio, Rhodes College in Memphis, and Milsaps in Jackson. I know a couple of guys who went to school at Austin College. They are both smart dudes.
