#1) Middle Alabama State University Crimson Tide – They're like Ric Flair....to be the best, you have to beat the best.
#2) Florida Gators – I think the rumblings about Wil Muschamp have been a silenced for now. We'll see what they can do Saturday against the Jawja Underachievdawgs.
#3) The Mississippi State University - Undefeated means undefeated. Until The Mississippi State University loses, they're above everybody with a loss. The game-changer is Tyler Russell. Without him, TMSU loses to Troy, Tennessee, and even Auburn (they hadn't given up on the season yet, and took a 10-7 lead on us in the 3rd quarter.). Davey O'Brien Candidate and 2013 Heisman Trophy frontrunner Russell is the key to taking advantage of the Middle Alabama State University defense.
#4) LSU Tigers– LSU will always be tough with that nasty defense of theirs. Zach Mettenberger is a walking Rohrschach test.
#5) Georgia Bulldogs – The Underachievedawgs have a real test in Jacksonville this weekend. Too bad my sister divorced her Georgia season-ticket holder husband...I was hoping to finally go to the World's Largest Cocktail Party.
#6) Texas A&M – Texas A&M will be scary-good in the SEC within a couple of years. They're basically Mississippi State with oil fields. Once they start peeling players away from the Teasips because of their conference affiliation, they'll become the standard by which other schools are measured.
#7) South Carolina Gamecocks - Ahh, it's mid-October, the leaves are changing, the air is cooler, USuC begins choking away the season...right on target.
#8) Arkansas Razorbacks – I hate this. They finally start getting good right around the time we have to play them.
#9) Vanderbilt Commodores – The smart guys will get to a minor bowl. Problem is, Vanderbilt has had a great defense-no offense since Woody Widenhofer was there. Until Adrian Rodgers can get some playmakers at WR, they'll continue to struggle to 6 wins and a bowl.
#10) Tennessee Vols– Rockey Flop, you'll always be, a bunch of losers to meeeeeee......
#11) the university of ole miss Bears– Bucky Beaver has the Bears playing enthusiastic football. Contrary to other folks, I've always liked that we have 2-3 Division 1-A schools in the State. The competition makes all the schools better. Also, all the other States are starting to have D-1A schools as well (Alabama has 5-6, Florida has 9-10, Louisiana has 5-6, even Arkansas now has 2). Where you used to have marginally talented players walking on at Bammer or Auburn for chance to play 1 season, they're now going to these smaller schools and having a chance to play 4 years. The Mississippi State University and the university of ole miss might just rise up to the top of the conference once again with all the parity.
#12) Auburn Tigers - As bad as they are, they have plenty of talent. This is what happens when you change coordinators, and offensive football schemes, all in one year. You need some stability and there's none on the Plains. Also, good luck getting a decent HC to come to that Peyton Place Soap Opera of money-men, jock-sniffers, and wanna-be kingmakers.
#13) Missouri Tigers – Still haven't won in the SEC. All that smack-talk about "old guy football" is being thrown back in their face. They're in the conference so the SEC can recruit East St. Louis for basketball anyway.
#14) Kentucky Wildcats – Are they burning the phone line to David Cutcliffe's office? It would be the perfect job for him- making the big-time SEC money with 1/140 of the expectations of winning the SEC. All he needs to do is genuflect when in the presence of John Calipari the same way he does to Mike Krezewskeey at Duke.
