I think that Michael Adams is going after institutional control. They are trying to show a culture of cheating over multiple football staffs and multiple administrations...Otherwise, why bother with stuff that happened in the now distant past with a staff that is long gone from Ole Miss? Water under the bridge at this point. Unless you are trying to establish a trend...
I agree with Engie, if this was just about Nutt, then Chris Jones wouldn't have been questioned.
Just so all of you make the strategy session tonight at 8:00. We've had a couple new items added to the agenda. Mullen and Emerich have a power point presentation they just completed with Cohen's help on how to better plant evidence on recruits' face book pages. Also, we are now meeting at Mugshots. Restaurant Tyler has a meeting with the other message board fans and their grass roots sabotage plans and their private room is taken.
I'm going to be completely honest here... I don't really care whether OM ends up with a single sanction as long as CJ Johnson fries. In all my years of keeping tabs on recruiting and the shady things that happen during the recruiting season, I have rarely witnessed something as ridiculously blatant as that kid.

so the NCAA is leaking investigation tidbits on the heels of the 2 biggest botched investigations ever (miami/auburn)? An "investigation" that has no official PLOI. So after all the dumb things the NCAA did with those two investigations where all they had to do was basically interview people and catch them in their lies. Now the chair of the NCAA executive committee is spearheading this investigation because he is pissed his former school didnt get a recruit they coveted. OM wont need a real good attorney to get off on that.

If there are other names, they will be instate kids, just like the names released thus far (Johnson and Jones).
You think UGA, FSU, and Bama are after us because of some instate battles that they weren't involved in? The instate names should tell you where this info is coming from.
UGA, Bama, and FSU harldy blink an eye when they lose a recruit. They just sign another great recruit. But the school that almost lost Jones and lost several instate guys recently, they panic and resort to unique tactics.

Not publicly. Some are in denial about it. Some will spin it to be a State investigation. Some will create a message board counter-offensive. All of that, you will see here.
It still remains to be seen, no matter how damning the evidence, if there will be any follow-through by the NCAA.

I didn't see the original poster claim to get his infor directly from the NCAA. He didn't even say it was first-hand knowledge.
Maybe what he is hearing is just someone's observations-- that the NCAA is focused on more than just the latest recruiting coup.
If nothing else it has really been fun watching a lot of your fanbase get their panties twisted over some of things being posted here and other message boards. Since we are so full of **** why not let us keep squawking and then mock us later?

There is no investigation by the NCAA anyway, but your "insiders" got about 2 more weeks to leak the goods. During the season the sports writers and bloggers will be too busy with the season, and real news. Fling that poop faster!!!! You're running out of time

Thanks for the info 66, anyone with half a brain would know this would not be leakage from the NCAA but rather some people who have talked to the NCAA that can sort of put together what's being looked at based on the questions asked.
And as far as MSU, the only real recruiting season where OM ruffled our feathers was the blatant over the top mess that went on in the 2011 class (CJ Johnson being the primary issue). I really do believe it was a group of other schools that got pissed off last year that actually pushed the NCAA into looking into things because really, though there was drama with Chris Jones, we didn't lose anyone of note to OM last year. I personally sincerely doubt Kailo ever has much impact on the football field anyway, but regardless, most MSU fans never really felt like he was a guy that would come to MSU if Freeze and OM showed any signs of getting the program out of the crapper.
Like parading Devinner through the Grove, having him hang out with your first family the Touleys, or getting him on every radio station your guys control. Stuff like that.

The word I got was, "the story can't get traction either way." The "either way" part was our guys focused on ya'll. So if we are being investigated according to your "insiders", then I guess the same could be said about ya'll. Now you didn't think the MSU folks could start making waves without any retaliation did ya? By the way, ya'll still on probation?
