Because the way some of y'all are crying you think we'd be losing to Northeast Alaska Community College. Give it a rest. They are the number 3 team in the nation for a reason. We knew going into the weekend that we'd be lucky to win one against them. Wait until we lose the Auburn series before you pee your pants.

I'm a big Cohen supporter, but these teams are not exciting to watch. It's like pulling teeth to score a run. That's why Cohen starts the runners and we get a triple play. It's year 4 and we still can't hit. Is that on Cohen?

Our timely hitting just needs to improve. The season is not over after a series loss to LSU AT LSU by losing two 1 run games, and then splitting two with Arkie and battling them for the series right now. Some of you people amaze me. They are #3 and we are in a 1 run game to decide the series. WHy is everybody so damn doom and gloom

Is it his fault that CT was hurt or that Norris and Brownlee are too? All I'm saying us key us get our people back and then if we start losing to crappy teams, then you can complain.

If I'm wrong then I was just basing it off of someone else on here. That was probably dumb on my part though

teams in our conference.

Auburn? They took two of three from Ole Miss in Oxford AND 2 of three from a LSU team that this board worships. Auburn is better than us too. The only teams we have a chance to finish ahead of are Bama and Ole Miss.

SELA has had a top 60 RPI each of the last 3 seasons, and is very likely to this year as well.<div>
</div><div>I still wish we hadn't lost to them, but those losses aren't going to be season killers.</div>

We're just not going to be a good hitting team this year. We are 4th in ERA though so there is some hope that our pitching may be able to carry us to a good season.

I would say that is a pretty bad opponent<div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"></div>

You know that we were pitching our midweek guys and they were pitching their aces. Plus we had no CT, Norris, Brownlee, and Stark. I personally don't like excuses, but they're are some acceptable excuses.

Ex) half of our team is hurt= acceptable excuse.

You know that times have changed when the attitude is that we are lucky to win one game at home in a three game series against I don't give a **** who the other team is

teams in our SEC games. We are 2-4. Tied for last in the West.

Coincidentally enough, we are going to be tied with LSU for last. Because, as I was saying last week, they appear tobe in bottom quarter of the league. But, we lost that series. Hey, we outscored them though.

You obviouslythink there is a problem with Msstate baseball.....what's your solution to the problem? Fire Cohen who almost doubled our SEC wins last year, contended for a SEC west division title and made it to a super regional?

We aren't hitting. We are just getting runners on and moving to scoring position by bunting . I am so tired of people saying " we'll we aren't getting the timely hits" . That's bs. The small ball we play isto get runners on at all costs (especially the lead off batter) by trying to draw a walk or play cohen ball and try to get a HBP, bunt them over, then give 2 batters an opportunity to drive them in

To add to that. We are going to give ourselves a TON of opportunties to drive runs in this way. Have you noticed we have alot of 2 out / runner in scoring position scenarios? Because THAT IS THE WAY WE PLAY. We sacrifice outs to move runners over, then pray for a timely hit.

But.......if we continue with this anemic hitting for most of the year and miss the SEC tourney, then he needs to be forced by the AD to make staff changes.....and to bring in a dad gum hitting instructor for these little boys....

However, we sent Soph, Fresh, JR Trans, Soph, RS Fresh, RS Fresh, RS Fresh, Jr. Trans, and Fresh out to match up with

RS SR, RS SOPH, JR, JR, SR, SOPH, RS SOPH, SR this weekend. What did we expect?

Their Soph and Junior pitchers were not a whole lot better than our Soph and Junior pitchers, but their experienced hitters were the difference.

Thing is last year their Freshmen were just as good as they are now as SOPH. Is that just talent, or do they get the kind of instruction that makes them consistent at the plate? Wes Rea came in hitting around .310....but he also leads the team in striking out. We bunted him in the same situation that Van Horn bunted his Big Hitter. Probably the right thing to do. Just had no one who can hit behind him. Just puppies, the lot of them.

So, which series this year should we be favored in? How many years until we get to a level in which we expect to beat some of our non conference opponents?
I really think that we are just young and once we get some recruits in here, that we will see some success. Evaluation of recruits is what sets apart the good coaches from the bad.
