But.......if we continue with this anemic hitting for most of the year and miss the SEC tourney, then he needs to be forced by the AD to make staff changes.....and to bring in a dad gum hitting instructor for these little boys....
However, we sent Soph, Fresh, JR Trans, Soph, RS Fresh, RS Fresh, RS Fresh, Jr. Trans, and Fresh out to match up with
RS SR, RS SOPH, JR, JR, SR, SOPH, RS SOPH, SR this weekend. What did we expect?
Their Soph and Junior pitchers were not a whole lot better than our Soph and Junior pitchers, but their experienced hitters were the difference.
Thing is last year their Freshmen were just as good as they are now as SOPH. Is that just talent, or do they get the kind of instruction that makes them consistent at the plate? Wes Rea came in hitting around .310....but he also leads the team in striking out. We bunted him in the same situation that Van Horn bunted his Big Hitter. Probably the right thing to do. Just had no one who can hit behind him. Just puppies, the lot of them.
