yeah that was heady play L.A. us old guys in the stands were screaming that the ball was still alive.....experience paid off as the kid from ED knew what was happening.....our freshman holder on the play (who had a terrific game otherwise) thought the play was dead...........big momentum shift.....still think Reidsville should have went for the TD instead of FG..........

We said all year did we not that our FG unit would cost us a game. It cost us the biggest game.

Why in the world did ED kick that ball deep I never understood that call.

If they hadn’t gone for it on 4th & 5 and scored the td,, that kickoff return could have decided the game

I’m still not sure why they kicked it deep. A short kick or a kick out of bounds would have made them put a drive together with very little time left and no timeouts. Plus, we were up 2 scores at that point.

I couldn't figure that out either may have just got caught in the moment. Reidsville Is a had team to beat even throw it felt like ED was pushing Reidsville defence back the Rams never had one ounce of quit in them and battled the whole game sometimes it's just another teams day and this Reidsville team beat some good teams to make championship game heck , I would have bet anything they was going to win after the Burns game.

I doubt, with Holley and Aldridge on the sidelines, ED would was caught up in the moment. I am sure they had reasons for kicking deep. Would be nice to know what those reasons were. Supreme confidence in their coverage team? Playing the odds in hopes of making Reidsville drive 80 versus 50-60 yards?

Ya I'm sure coach Holley made at the time best decision for his team and it's always easy to 2nd guess coaches decisions after the facts . This may be crazy but to me the best thing ED could have done is on side kicked, if there kickerwas good at it, if you didn't recover Reidsville still had 50 yards to make it a one position game . If Ed recovers it ball game, anyway it all worked out better team that day won..
