Do what you want. Can't say I agree with the vigor of your beliefs of what will happen this weekend though. We CAN win. So can they. Might be three nailbiting games, or they might smash us in two or maybe we do that to them. Just no telling. Carry on with whatever you want to do.

You, fellow poster, need to get a grip. My lack of knowledge when it comes to real baseball? What does a bunch of people grilling and it smoking up the outfield, which again I saw through my own eyes on TV and heard the commentators talk about, have to do with real baseball? Don't preach to me about your knowledgeable baseball fans when I have read countless comments on the ACC being inferior baseball to the SEC. Yeah, we haven't won the "Prize" since 1955 but anyone knowledgeable about the game knows that stuff happens in baseball and if you look at the entire season, vs. just the World Series... the best team doesn't always win. We've lost 10 games this year and not all of those were to a better team. We either made base running blunders or other errors that cost us that game. "IT" happens.

Not once did I compare your stadium to ours. I merely stated that our 5K is louder than you might think and into the game more than you might think. Those attending this weekend will see.

Last but not least, thank you for your opinion that I look "extremely foolish" coming from you, based on your comments it means a lot. LM17AO. OH and you can kiss my "punk ***". Coming from an obvious punk, it too means sooooo much.
^^^^^^ Don't take the bait. Dudy speaks for itself. I'd say the only venue harder to play in is Alex Box, and that's only when it's a marque matchup.

Wanta bet on you having 1500 in our stadium? You were allotted 400, you'll get a few more from scalpers. 1500 is a HUGE stretch.
There you go again -- spouting off about something of which you have zero knowledge. Our traveling baseball fan base is a monster. Make no mistake, you will soon learn why we are mentioned in the same breath as the LSU when we're good.

We bought hundreds of tickets through your ticket office on MONDAY more than 24 hours after you'd clinched your host slot which your own fanbase had failed to buy. This was after we had sold out or allotment. You are welcome for the hard sell-out though. Certainly, you should continue comparing that to Dudy Noble -- which sold out the chairbacks in 3 hours for our regional.

There weren't that many seats left before our regional. Wait and see. Hopefully some honest dawg will let you know what I say is true.

Honest? You should try it sometime. Regional attendance in Charlottesville:
Davenport Field capacity: 5074
Army vs UVA - 3826
Elon vs UNCWilmington - 3243
UNCWil vs Army - 3342
Elon vs UVA - 4434
UNCWil vs Elon - 3184
Elon vs UVA Championship Game - 3792

You literally only outdrew the other teams in your regional by a couple hundred. Sounds like intimidation personified**

The closest you came to capacity was still 640 short in your primetime game on Saturday. You were 1282 away from capacity on the Sunday championship game and 1248 away in your Friday game.

We've got a noon Saturday game, a late Sunday game, and a mid-afternoon Monday game. I fully expect the MSU fans to outnumber the UVA fans on Monday. "Be sure to let me know when I'm wrong"

This is getting ridiculous. DS, can we make it to where SPS operates the same way as Egg Bowl and NSD times? No new members? This board has become so hard to read and it's because of 17'n douchebags who didn't even go to UVA. It's draining, really.

Disagree completely. These "events" only happen ever so often and leave us with lasting SPS memories for a long time. The Clemson douche and Derek Dunn last in infamy on here. UVA might join this elite club very soon.

I wasn't around for Clemson, but from stories it sounds like the worst.

That was probably one of the funniest/most entertaining threads in 6pack history. PJ made a complete and total *** of himself.

Ha quite the opposite for me atleast. The humor packed into about 4 days is what makes this board what it is. Sit back and enjoy the show or add a couple jabs here and there. Either way you're guaranteed to be entertained.

"Are you not entertained?!"

I agree with DAWG61. I have been thoroughly entertained by this week's board. I don't know how many posts I have, but I've posted more the last 36 hours than I have the last 6 months. While I agree that some of us have been too thin-skinned at times, I also think that our HOO (still confused on that matter) guests have had it coming from some of their brazen remarks in "enemy territory." I harbor no ill will towards these Wahoos (There's a Jonathon Swift Gulliver's Travels joke in there somewhere). But sometimes, you have to defend your home turf...and it has been quite entertaining.

One caveat, no new members during recruiting season is still a good idea. However, recruiting season lasted longer this year for we couldn't discuss basketball at any length (other than the blame game).

During the regional, one of the ESPN3 announcers made a comment to the effect of the fans sitting in the chairbacks and bleachers were the real baseball fans while the fans in the Leftfield Lounge were just there to tailgate and party. That's probably where the UVA fan is getting his thought that the outfield fans only care about "winning the party" so to speak and know next to nothing about baseball. I'm sure he would change his tune if he ever came to a game at Dudy Noble.

I agree. Keep the Left Field Lounge on the DL. The lack of elitist douche bags is what makes that place great. Other people don't understand it, and that's also what makes it great. It's OUR little slice of heaven.

The ACC hasn't won a National Championship in baseball since 1955. Let me repeat that since you don't seem to understand. THE ACC HAS NOT WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN BASEBALL SINCE 1955!!! Guess how many NC trophies the ACC has in baseball? One. In 1955. By Wake Forest. The SEC has won 9 National Championships in baseball since 1990. Get the 17 out of here with the ACC is equal to the SEC in baseball talk. No seriously, don't ever bring that up again or at least till the ACC has won 9 of them. That'll be when? 2150? Nope cause the SEC is going to Viking your conference and take UNC and VTech and UVA will be in the B1G by 2020.

Second topic, smoke in the outfield. For starters the grills are on DECKS that are above the players height by a couple feet. The outfielders are about 30 yards from the wall. When in the history of fire and smoke does the smoke go down and stay at eye level after drifting 150+ feet? "Smoke in their eyes" is quite possibly the dumbest single statement ever posted on this board.

We all know you have an orange bowtie and matching ascot so no use lying about it anymore.

By that logic, isn't MSU inferior to all but two other BCS teams in sports generally, regardless of conference? The stat has nothing to do with how good a team or conference is in the present. I do agree with you, however, that the ACC historically isn't up there with the SEC, though it is a good conference.
