This tournament has already been crazy enough.

A 15 over 2
2 14s over 3s
A 13 over a 4
2 12s over 5s ...

All that's missing is that elusive 16 over 1.

Hilltoppers up 31-30 at the half.

WKU playing pretty good basketball right now. This does not look like your typical 1-16 matchup where the 16 looks disorganized offensively, clearly isn't the better team, but hits some lucky shots. WKU is playing good basketball, creating turnovers, getting good looks at the basket. They've got a real shot in this one.

They look a lot like Gulf Coast. They look like they belong.

I can't figure out for the life of me how FGCU was a 15. They beat Miami, arguably the best team in the tournament, and had Duke on the ropes at Cameron. The Atlantic Sun isn't a horrible conference. Should have been a 13 or 14.

Overall, this may have been the most poorly seeded tournament I've seen.

Regardless of regions and how things fall, some of the seeds just don't make sense. Usually you look at most of the seeds and you say ok they make some good sense. You are spot on with FGC. No way they should have been a 15. 14 minimum, but probably more of a 13 seed. Oregon definitely not a 12 seed, and I think OM should have been higher than a 12 seed. UCLA was way overrated at a 6 seed. Their only good wins were an OT win against a very average Mizzou, a win over Colorado and 3 wins over an Arizona team that I think is too high at a 6 seed as well.

Marquette was overrated as a 3 seed. They lost to Florida by 30+ and the Big East was considerably overrated as a whole this year. Pitt, Georgetown, Villanova, and Cincinnati all lose day 1 and Notre Dame is down 14 to Iowa State.

And Miami is the first ever ACC regular season and tournament champion to not get a 1 seed. They should have gotten it over Gonzaga, but Gonzaga is that West team that the NCAA likes and wants to hang their hat on because there were no good teams out west this year except for maybe New Mexico, and we saw how well they did last night against Harvard.

I know this was a weird year in college basketball, but there were some serious seeding questions in my mind this year.

I've watched KU all season. They don't really have a team identity. They won a bunch of games by being more talented. Never saw a game where they were really fired up about winning.

Self is great with half time adjustments typically. Should be an interesting finish.

The S-Curve had Florida Gulf Coast as a solid 14. On the line with Montana, Harvard and South Dakota State.

Ole Miss was actually on the 11-line with Oklahoma, Colorado and Missouri. So Mizzou was +2 and Ole Miss was -1. Oregon was on the 10-line, they were -2. Notre Dame was on the 10-line and ended up a 7, so a +3, which is unheard of.

Horrible seeding.

Looks like Western's going to run out of steam, and Kansas' talent will take over.
Still, Kansas and Gonzaga look like some weak #1 seeds.

This +1, I think the extra 4 teams getting in is throwing a monkey wrench into the seedings.

They just can't seem to get it to within one possession.

They are having major difficulties finding quality shots in their halfcourt offense. They gave it a good run but unless they start nailing 3s or start getting more quality shots, Kansas will pull away.

I think Patrick Young will be able to man up on Withey and give him hell if they match up with Florida. Withey is kind of a puss. He is acting all bad because he's scoring on guys 6 inches shorter than him on WKU....Patrick Young will stuff his ****. Or at least I hope so.

Now that GTown is out, I think Florida has an easier path than Kansas. VCU could possibly beat Kansas.

All you 17ers hating on Henderson can give up--he is filthy rich! He has had a starring role as Sid in the "Toy Story" series and is rolling in coin. 17er is set for life. Need proof? See? Deal with it--he's a star!!!

I should have been more clear on OM.

When I said I thought they should be seeded higher, I meant to say they should have been seeded better. I thought they were an 11 or 10 seed and definitely underseeded as a 12. As much as it pained me to do, I picked OM against Wisconsin because I didn't think Wisconsin's style of play matched up well. OM can be physical and they have athleticism that can break down that slow pace of Wisconsin.

This has just been a very strange tournament and I think going forward it's going to stay that way.

I don't think Kansas makes it to Florida. I have UNC knocking them out Sunday.

You will see a different, more motivated Kansas team against UNC though. I think Kansas beats em, but you may be right. I wouldn't be surprised if Kansas lost to VCU either if that matchup takes place. If Kansas wins it all this year, they will have earned it.

I think the Big East may have benefited from the season long "this was the greatest basketball conference EVER" retrospective talk, followed by some talking heads (possibly from Syracuse) coming to you live from a studio in Connecticut, reminiscing about a tournament in MSG. It's the perfect recipe for too much hype.
