Overall, this may have been the most poorly seeded tournament I've seen.
Regardless of regions and how things fall, some of the seeds just don't make sense. Usually you look at most of the seeds and you say ok they make some good sense. You are spot on with FGC. No way they should have been a 15. 14 minimum, but probably more of a 13 seed. Oregon definitely not a 12 seed, and I think OM should have been higher than a 12 seed. UCLA was way overrated at a 6 seed. Their only good wins were an OT win against a very average Mizzou, a win over Colorado and 3 wins over an Arizona team that I think is too high at a 6 seed as well.
Marquette was overrated as a 3 seed. They lost to Florida by 30+ and the Big East was considerably overrated as a whole this year. Pitt, Georgetown, Villanova, and Cincinnati all lose day 1 and Notre Dame is down 14 to Iowa State.
And Miami is the first ever ACC regular season and tournament champion to not get a 1 seed. They should have gotten it over Gonzaga, but Gonzaga is that West team that the NCAA likes and wants to hang their hat on because there were no good teams out west this year except for maybe New Mexico, and we saw how well they did last night against Harvard.
I know this was a weird year in college basketball, but there were some serious seeding questions in my mind this year.
