It could work IF:

- Auburn lowballed his salary, giving him $4-5 million a year, but giving $1.5-2.0 million a year to each coordinator, and high 6-figure salary to the position assistants. Let the coordinators and assistants do much of the scouting, coaching, and recruiting, while Cadillac becomes the face of the program.

Yeah they could be the trial and error program for the new era of college football.

How can anyone really believe Cohen is actually going to hire the next head football coach at Auburn ?

Better question….how can anyone believe any SEC AD is actually the one who hires any football coach with any kind of autonomy?

People on here poke fun at Auburn, but no AD makes these calls by themselves at any SEC school….including MSU. The folks that have to pay the buyout if it goes south are always the real shot callers.

I agree w/you but I think Barn's cigar boys are way too involved.
