The refs swallowed their whistle a lot - but we have to adapt to that. Case in point, Laviano should have tossed the ball on the last 3rd down instead of taking the sack - the refs had shown that they were being *very* lenient on intentional grounding, and he should have at least made an attempt. What's the worst, they call it grounding and a sack anyway?
With the obvious holds on their OLine (I remember one guy had Turay by the hand keeping him from getting to Cook), our OLine should have started gripping more, too. I remember only two holding calls all game, and none on Olinemen that I can recall.
Need to adapt to what the refs are calling.
And to take a page out of D'Antonio's book, we should have been interfering on some of those longer passing plays instead of giving them the chance of making the play. Better a 15 yard penalty than a big gainer - as he did against us in 2006.
