Here is a game of interest for me. Any thoughts about these 2 teams. I’m sure lot eyes will be on the game and how it turns out.
Hough vs Dutch Fork 8/18

Only have seen a little bit of film on DF. They look pretty good for this early in the season. Hough is going to be a tough tough out....solid team with great players and coaches. I am sure Tommy Knotts has something up his sleeve, but if Hough wins, it would not be a huge surprise. I've seen film on two 4A teams from SC (Greenville, and Northwestern) and DF looks solid. OL and DL look strong...good LBs. New QB but he has been in the system for a while...actually a transfer from NC...thank you, by the way. Strong group of WRs and RBs...so we will have to see.

Doodles has Dutch Fork as an underdog...can't remember last time I've seen that...all I know is I wouldn't bet against Tommy Knotts and Dutch Fork.
My understanding is that Hough has a QB with over 2600 yrds passing from last season and is verbally committed UNC. And also with Dutch Fork will have good many of their defense back from last season. Plus a good RB Jarvis Green. Also that the game will be played at Memorial Stadium at 5pm. Also Mallard Creek will play against Myers Park on the same day at Memorial Stadium at 8. Hopefully I got the info right.

Hard to pick against TK. Also, the way their season ended last year I would expect them to be on a mission this year.
TK won 14 out of his 20 State Championship appearances. Out of all the legitimate programs he could take an L against, uuughh Hough. That would be a tough one to swallow.

What’s even more impressive is that 3 of his championship game losses were early in his career. He lost in 87 at Harding and in 91 and 93 at WC. Also, his win/loss records are off the charts which means he is prepared for every game. DF could lose but it want be because they were out coached.
The early season advantages that South Carolina high school football have over their NC counterparts are too much of an advantage in the first game of the season in head to head matchups. South Carolina football teams are usually 3-4 weeks ahead of NC teams at the beginning of the season. Coach Knotts will definitely exploit those advantages to his favor. I would love to see this game played after Hough has a couple of games under their belt first.

Dutch Fork has good size also but not Hough size, some dropped passes.
Would give the line work to Hough on both O and D right now.
