Murphy's ADMs were 495 in 2016, so what will it have to be to go 1AA so this
Murphy vs Tarboro possibly take place.Swain's 1AA ADM was 556 in 2016 . So what is the cut off number for Murphy to go 1AA . Other than those 2 the other SMC are under 400.Tarboro's ADM in 2016 was 609. Tarboro was 2A in 2012 and dropped to 1A in 2013 or 2014.

You think??? MICS will be quietly waiting and watching.. There better than last year BELIEVE that. Mitchell struggled this year with Cannon a team MICS blew out last year 54-7. And Cannon was a better team last year. Now this MICS team is better than last years. Pay attention, the lost MICS has to 3a Stuart Cramer they lost by 31. But they gave up 31pts on special teams. That want happen again. The MICS defense is the big difference offense is still unreal.

Like Rich said, don't forget about MICS. Murphy only beat them by one point last year. It will be a shame if Murphy and MICS don't end up in same playoffs, whether it's 1a or 1aa. The year they won their "DII" title, 1983, the Panthers lost to Robbinsville AND Murphy.

Murphy was winning conference and state titles loooooooong before this split 1a stuff, and they still lead the overall series with Franklin, even with that 3-14 recent skid. What does that tell you? lol

I fully remember the Carl Pickens years..no one said murphy wasn't good..i simple said they have had guys against franklin w the current staff that's there now..lol no one had many issues w franklin for the 20 years prior to 2001

They usually have somewhere between 250 and 300. ADM was 248 last year, which was lowest it has been since right after VF clothing plant (made Lee jeans) shut down about 15 years ago.

Frank Maennle was named boys' coach a few weeks ago. They will be very young this year--I think they only return 3 or 4 players--but they have probably the best 9th grade hoops class in the SMC and he will have a good group to build around.

Solesbee's last year coaching the girls was last year. New girls coach is former Murphy football star Georgie Kerber.

To be fair, Andrews ADM would be a higher by a couple dozen if not for the early college. % wise Andrews has routinely had the most kids at the early college relative to their home base enrollment.

The Kerber hire makes me feel old, lol.

Seen the dogs this year , they are flat out loaded, what a pleasure it was to finally make it to murphy for a game. Wish the Bears were going small this year, i like that game alot after what i seen in the Bears last night. But i have to say i was suprised by the lack of kicking game from the dogs. Quick question , isnt the bodine kid #80 the son of the former clemson star Rob Bodine?

Well the kickn game is lots better, got sophomore kick that kick on jvs, last year, he puts it in end zone, or on 5,. The girl kicker is getting her jitters settled,. She hit 7 out of 8 week before 6 out of 7 last week

As of now my top 2 in the West is Murphy and Mount Airy (may be 1aa). With mic possibly third, unless they have to meet up with BC in the playoffs. Then there is a while group of teams after that.

They fear us cause we play at another speed. That they cant duplicate in practice to prepare for. None of em can, football is about match ups and they dont match up well.
