Goldin built this FL team in 3 years. And I don’t think anyone predicted that Clayton would develop into what he is now. Without him they would have lost in second round to UConn.

Florida was 16-17 two seasons ago.

Auburn was 21-13 two years ago, and 13-14 four years ago.

I suspect that if we’re healthy then next year will be a lot like this year. We’ll be in the mix and possibly make a run.

Agree that the year after we could be much improved, hopefully developing more continuity.

I kind of look at it like when Pitino got here. Throw out year 1, which was impossible. Year 2 we won the SEC regular season. Year 3 lost the game of the century. Year 4 were an expected Final Four team and met that expectation.

I think we’ll be a year ahead of that schedule. Would love to sneak into the FF next year, if only to shut up some of our crazies and trolls.

Golden is in his 3rd year at Flordia.
Pearl is in like his 10th or 11th year at Auburn.

Both guys have All-Americans. Both guys have experienced rosters with multiple seniors that will be gone after this year.

Pope just completed his 1st year. His 1st year at Kentucky was more successful than Golden's first year and Pearl's 1st year.
