One of my good friends is a die hard Bama fan and he just forwarded me this email. Take it for what it's worth, but it is strange that Ole Miss has been doing untypically well on the recruitng trail:"an interesting email from a friend of mine, thought you would find it entertaining as well..........."I had a VERY interesting convo a couple weeks ago with Devlin Hodges father about a couple trips he has been on so far and mentioned how dirty Ole Miss was and how at the hosts at BAMA mentioned the boosters lined u at the fence and not to have ANY contact and the hosts MADE SURE they weren't approaching, but at Ole Miss the host they had left and they had a gym bag they had been given and the boosters one by one introduced themselves and put wads of cash in the bag (Devlin's father left the bag in their room with the cash in it) and later on the hosts all went to a frat party and brought the prospects (or attempted) and again Hodges father didn't let him go, instead they left Ole Miss early
This was with Freeze as HC. He also said the only 2 programs who were totally clean with their visits were Bama and Florida".................
Thoughts?

I hope Ole Miss gets busted. They are cheating their asses off. No school comes out of the abyss they've been in and recruits the daylights out. "But Freeze is a great recruiter..." Child, please. He learned from Ed O. Cheat, cheat, cheat.

Names of 2 Ole Miss boosters involved in this type thing were passed to me last night. I am damn sure going to see what else I can find out on those guys and get some scoop to the NCAA if possible.

Look I get you hate Ole Miss and find the recent recruiting success odd (not going into that right here). But when you read that did you not find it really unrealistic? Thats not true, SMU came out of nowhere to become a national power in the late 80's. Other than them though, no team has ever recruited like this after a 2-8 and 6-6 season. NEVER!! Freeze must be like the Calipari of college football.

He talks about his faith on tweets and in the recruiting living room, yet he knows exactly what illegal activities are going on. I'm not saying that paying for a player is a sin, but knowing a player is getting paid and it being against the rules is morally wrong. I understand that all schools cheat to an extent, but Freeze uses the Christian route a lot and it's a little hypocritical if this is indeed going on.

Let's try a little thought experiment:

Bama with recent multiple NCs, top notch facilities, and the best coach in the business getting 4 and 5 star recruits.

The OLE MISS REBELS.....sucked since these recruits were in jr high, less than average facilities, past and present riot history, and new/unproven coach (formerly of the HS ranks) getting 4 and 5 star recruits.

This equation don't compute!!! I must be missing a variable - what could that be?

That is pretty funny. Looks like the ******** is spreading to Florida also which is interesting considering at this point we have only really commited one juco guy. I hate to see the fallout when we actually sign a few players.

You'll also notice in the link that he says he will visit OM again soon. Must be pissed that his Dad left the gym bag with wads of cash. Also, considering that MSU is historically worse than OM and lost to OM recently, how do you explain your top 12 recruiting ranking if you buy the rationale that OM can't possibly do well in recruiting due to past performance?

Its different now, much like the board it spun off of, and especially since the egg bowl, but this board becomes more entertaining by the day.

Since Mullen showed up we've put studs in the NFL. Not even necessarily 1st round picks, which we have had consecutive, but guys like KJ, Pernell, and Ballard are all starting for GOOD teams and have beaten out other in most cases higher rated players. So there's that...

Ole Miss has the Grove, which players can't attend because they're the only ~100 people in the stadium.

We have had 1st round picks in the last 2 drafts - Sherrod in 2011 and Cox in 2012. This year if the nation's best DB goes in the 1st round it will be 3 years in a row with a first round draft pick.

Our HS girls coach lucked up and beat your coach who is coaching somewhere beneath his worth. I should count my stars that we were fortunate enough to catch your crew on an off day in the Egg Bowl.

I just hope we can keep our methods on the DL. Its our only hope. I heard we screwed up recently and offered a used Mustang to a recruit. Evidently he wasn't worth gym bags with wads of cash. Either way, they say the NCAA is snooping around now. We may have to fire a coach to save face.
