Paint Valley freshman basketball player Dylan Swingle has been offered a full-ride scholarship to play at West Virginia University, once he graduates from high school. Bearcats Coach Dave Shoemaker has confirmed the offer was extended on Monday by West Virginia Mountaineers Coach Bob Huggins. Swingle has not made any verbal commitment at this time. High school athletes can not sign a national letter of intent until their junior season, but are permitted to make verbal commitments prior to that. No word on when or if Swingle will accept the West Virginia offer. The 6'9 Swingle has also entertained recruiting visits from other schools, including recruiting trips from Ohio State University.
