And here I was thinking that Ole Miss and hate go together like PB&J.

""Regardless of how you motivate your team, every coach has to decide what is best for him and his program. We went about it a little different than some. We didn't play out of hatred for anyone. It was more about playing out of love for one another and this university." -Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze

Mullen coaches pride and cockiness so I guess that gets translated to be hate, since Ole Miss fans hate him for ribbing them so hard. Strange quote though to imply that Mullen and State coach "hatred" and Ole Miss is all about love and family.

Well all the fighting on the field coming heavily from OM players says otherwise.

There are far too many involved with both schools for whom "hatred" is the daily dose of baloney. I'm 68, and I was for a long time used to getting together with friends from both schools and enjoying the game and some drinks and chow afterwards. Still do. It's a freaking game, people. It's not real life. If those of you from both schools who go batshoot nuts over every little thing involving sports worried half as much about what was going on in state government and our society, we'd be a hell of a lot better off.

Unfortunately this seems to be the societal norm nowadays, whether it involves sports, politics, driving a vehicle, or going to the store. I suspect that the parents of most Ole Miss and State folks would be mortified if they had any idea of the things that their children say and do in "support" of their respective schools.

Thanks for the nice story. If you don't want to know what us "children" are doing these days, then maybe a message board isn't for you. Also, take that politics batshoot elsewhere.

They are going to be Auburn 2.0, with the Family, Love, and $$$ thang. If they get a $200,000 QB, it's all ovah! :)

Derstapö!!!

Agreed 17 you old man. Enjoy the good ole days of Mistippi Tate and being perennial losers. I'm glad we have a fiery fanbase looking to take the fight to those 17ers.

You gotta

hand it to Bucky, he plays this "Holy Warrior" bit perfectly. All he needs now is to take some online classes to make it official, and become Rev. Bucky.

I thought Tuberville was a good fit for them. But Buckey just maybe a perfect fit. Put out the "I have higher moral values than you.". Meanwhile you are lining up 6-5 lineup for adoption and rubbing elbows behind close doors with Byron DeVinner.

From what I understand, he is an ordained minister. At least I think I'm right about that.
