You can't keep using this excuse.Honestly hard to tell with the lack of offensive production + boneheaded key offensive decisions being made that he has to try to overcome on a weekly basis.
Not an excuse, it’s a fact. A proven DC isn’t going to come into this situation unless they have one foot into retirement and can get a big paycheck out of it. From ridiculous decisions to go for it on 4th down in your own territory, poor playing calling between 1-3 down, to going hurry up on a play that should have been reviewed for a TD or 1st down (that never seemed to workout for us), a DC is coaching uphill from the opening kickoff at this point. You can't keep using this excuse.
He better get a DC and start kissing *** to get some more money/keep it coming with the trash coaching he's been doing.
Let’s not count our chickens quite yet. OM may rack up 600 yds on HutzImproved us from worst SEC defense to 2nd worst

Which is why I would just pull the trigger and fire himA whole lotta truths in all these posts. I fear that Bulldog45's assessment is the mess we are stuck with. What new OL, DL, or any other assistant coach would feel safe to take a job here as long as the HC is a lame duck coach on a short lease? This does not look good for us folks. Not good at all.
If he returns for 2026, the only remaining discussion point won’t be if, but at what point during the 2026 season he finally gets put out to pasture.Which is why I would just pull the trigger and fire him
Our only hope now is that the Epstein list is released soon and Jeff Lebby’s name is on it.Honestly hard to tell with the lack of offensive production + boneheaded key offensive decisions being made that he has to try to overcome on a weekly basis.
Most of the young lads on this site probably never had the pleasure of opening the pages of that fine publication.first read the OP thread title and thought "I didn't even know that magazine was still around" carry on

I’ve never rooted against my team and never will. But honestly, I’m not sure the best thing for the program wouldn’t be a Croom-level *** whipping against OM.I'm not seeing it.
This isn’t getting enough attention. We had to make them win by throwing the ball and we did not stack for the run and we had some really poor technique on a few runs and lbs totally blowing their gap assignmentsI sat in disbelief watching our defensive ends not seal the ends while their RBs ran by without being touched. Even our LBs ran to the middle leaving their RBs open field for 15 yards and this was after a week of practice to prepare for a team we knew would rundabawl. I swear we looked like a defense playing in a pickup game with no coaching. No coordination between players. On the flip side Missouri looked like they knew what play we were running each down. It was like watching a game last year.
