Just when you thought this trend was losing it's oomph, here's the story of a Bengals cheerleader/high school teacher accused of doing the deed with a student. But wait, there's more! She's the same cheerleader who sued an online gossip site for defamation of character in 2009, AND her mother (a local elementary school principal!) is in jail for tampering with evidence in the case.<div>

This is the type of thing where I think it is totally justified to have a double standard. If this guy was 16-17, I just don't see any harm done. (I would have been happy to be in his shoes much younger, but just for arguments sake.) I don't think this girl should see any jail time for this type of thing. Maybe some probation, just to discourage it. I'm sure the public humiliation of it being all over the news is plenty, really. Now, If this was turned around and it was some creepy dude teacher and 16 year old girl, send his *** to prison.
