I guess it's not so bad

Can't see a scenario where JH goes and he doesn't. It would be one thing if he was an extremely successful popular coach but that's not the case. I could envision the other 3.
If Barchi dumped Hermann, not Flood, and brought in a first class AD, I'd be very happy. Hermann is the problem.

Despite my news the other day, it's really not so bad. HCKF is feeling relieved since I dropped the news here on Rivals. Sargeant and Dunleavy wrote stories about this yesterday referencing this site but also validating the word going around the booster circle. We are focused on going 1-0 this week. HCKF loves coming to work everyday.
"Coach Flood - I was just checking the Rivals message board, and someone calling himself RUsilencer just told everyone that Barchi is going to back down and you will be coaching here again next year!"

Flood: "That's a relief! I thought I was a goner, but if RUsilencer says I'll be back, it must be true! Ha-ha! Let's celebrate with a couple of foot longs from Subway, then get back to going 1-0 over Maryland!"

Pardon me if I take any "inside information" you are sharing on this board with a boulder of salt after a gem of a post like this one.

Seriously overestimating this.

Myself and my group are still looking for additional season tix in our area and as I've said before.. much to our disappointment no one around my seating area is looking to give up any seats.. Perhaps the fringe fans are going to give up a few, but not likely that the long term devoted fans will be interrupting their years of consecutive giving and the associated seat equity and parking pass equity.

The people in the know realize the posters posting on a message board are mostly the "squeeky wheel" segment of the fan base and not representative of the whole. My guess is that 75% of the people threatening to give up seats on this board have no real intention to do so... and are just thinking they are helping to influence the university into making a decision they want. Interesting how these message boards work
No one in your area, you speak to every person around you on a personal level?
You sit with the only group in the entire stadium that's supports Flood, I'm sure your section stood up and gave KF a nice clap during his video…the rest of the stadium booed the crap out of him.

Sarge also tweeted that the report "won't shine a positive light." If that's the case what's your story Silencer?

What's "not so bad" anyway? Getting stuck with Elmer Fudd another year? Don't even get me started on that one lol....

Yeah because Hermann is the cause of:

- lousy recruiting
- lousy product on field
- Floodgate

Unreal.

...
Hermann Munster is the problem and Barchi would do well to dump her ASAP. She is a total failure.

The Barnwell fiasco is really her fault. Flood did what he did because of Hermann. He had no place to turn for help. The AD is supposed to handle the tough stuff and protect the coaches.

I'll bet the B1G has told Barchi to dump her!

I'm not Barchi so you are right. Ultimately I don't know. I was one day ahead of the media on this (who by the way have sources all over the University). Prove me wrong on that one. You want the links to their stories? By the way, 85% isn't backing off. It's hedging against the stupidity of the President's office which should be 100% the other way
Another dopey excuse doesn't work with this board...there are few if any of us who have an IN with the workings of RU... well maybe NUTS ....it is going to be funny to see the Rutgers Rivals board meltdown when Flood is retained for 2016.

Let's see how funny it is when no one gives a **** about RU football anymore. Because that's exactly where this is headed.

I stick by my prediction.

Barchi the clueless cheapskate is going to try to keep Flood, and then the report is going to leak and it will be very bad and Barchi goes down with JH and Flood and new coach is not hired until close to NSD.

That is the RU way to do things. When was the last time RU ever fired someone for incompetence? I believe it was Shea. Schiano and Grentz left of their own volition. Rice, FHJ, Waters, Bannon all under a cloud and this will be no different but because of the 24-7 news cycle and internet it will be worse.

These clowns never learn.

Why would anybody who says they are a Rutgers fan drop their season tickets knowing that we have Penn State, Michigan, and Iowa on the home schedule. I, like many, waited a lifetime for that type of schedule and damn it if I am going to give up my seat location because I don't like the current coach. I am a lifer, I take a long term view, we will go thru high and lows, wins and losses, and multiple coaches, but at the end of the day I will be there to support my school and enjoy all that comes with playing in the B1G.
Enjoy all that comes? Yes, it should be a great deal of fun to watch Rutgers go through a likely 3-9 season in front of 20000 fans. And let's not forget the inevitable blowout losses against Washington, Iowa, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Minnesota. And New Mexico and Illinois will not be gimmees. Sounds like a fun season. Fun.Fun.Fun

Because seeing your team get beat by 30 isnt worth the cost. If you want to see those games, buy them an gameday from a scalper for $10.

There are reasons to keep season tickets, but not being able to go the big games isnt one of them going forward until we are competitive against the big names.

LOL. What makes you think that. What has she done that Bob "I got lucky that my 7th choice to replace Shea was dirt cheap and a gamechagner" Mulchaey and Tim "I hired Flood" Pernetti havent.

More so - what makes you think that we would get an AD who's resumes is better than Assistant AD at highly successful P5 program. We arent getting an AD from some other school.

None of that will happen. Barchi isnt going anywhere - hes savvy enough to avoid that fate. And I think Julie is too.

yes I am an alum and I truly don't care about the games anymore. Flood ruined it for me just like he did in 2013. I went to school during the Anderson/Graber years and had season tix with Shea, it was easier to take when I was younger and spending less money on the product and back then there was no charade going on that we were competing like a Big 10 school.

there are plenty of RU alums who are football fans that have lost interest and stopped going...if you don't believe it check out the 25K empty seats for Maryland
If you don't care anymore, why do you continuously post on the message boards. Obviously you only care that your position is not the one being followed.

Guess another thread revealing an educated guess of Flood being retained .
Like the educated guesses of Flood being terminated that were popping up in this board not to long ago.
Some even with direct knowledge of Flood being fired for cause.
Tomorrow someone in the know will let us know again, maybe even leaving themselves an opening to excuse themselves for being wrong, if what they claimed something ( because they are in the know) will happen doesn't happen.

Slyker, Mr. Grammar Guy here. I understand this is a message board and we are informal; I just post this because I'd hate to see folks do this on a memo at work.

Not "Myself and my group...." but instead, "I and my group...." To figure out what to use, take the "and my group" and see what you have. You wouldn't say, "Myself is still looking...." so you don't say, "Myself and my group are still looking...."

BTW, I like your positivity and hope you find your tix.

Agreed - anyone thinking we'll lose 20% of season ticket holders needs to put down the crack pipe. 3-5% tops. We're likely to go from 14 to at least 16, as B1G demand is there. Doesn't mean I don't want Flood gone, but some of the anti-Flood folks are way overstating how bad things are or could be.

Unless there's a surprise monsoon, there will be way more than 25K there on Saturday. Any rain should be very light and it'll be mild, so I'm guessing at least 30K and probably 35K (would be more if the students were around). Also, why would Flood be booed more than he was 2 weeks ago against Nebraska? We beat Army since then and are 50-50 to beat Maryland, so the boo-birds are likely to be subdued, unless we tank.

Do you not recall games against UL and USF in similar spots

Subtract 8k Nebby fans and 2k students and we already down 10k plus add moreno shows to that...max 30k and likely less

The novelty of the Big Ten is wearing off. The only game this season to draw more than the Howard game last season was Ohio State, because their fans filled the stadium. Think about that. Once the casual fans check out, it will get ugly.
