That is what happens when your talent level isn’t up to some of your competition.
Team plays hard, but we really need to upgrade the recruiting and portal transfers if we are ever going to compete with the B1G bluebloods.
this team will finish 6-7, zero pulse and the coaching staff are the biggest group of pussies I've ever seen. They aren't beating Maryland or whoever we play in the cold and depressing bowl

We were never going to go from getting blown out to beating the elite. The hope was we'd ge a few breaks and win one of these games but we didn't get breaks and shot ourselves in the foot too much.
Will be nice to see the offense in the next two games palsying a defense not ranked #2, #4, #8 in the country. The last there games were a gauntlet.

It’s frustrating but at least it’s better than years past being down several touchdowns before the end of the first quarter. We are taking these elite teams deep into the second half. Just don’t have the horses/ depth to pull it off.
Will we? I don’t know. But this is far different than years past.
0-3 vs 3 ranked teams in the last 3 weeks and outscored 85-22. Only difference this year is the easy early schedule got us to a bowl and we didn’t lose to an inferior team. We also beat no one that we shouldn’t have. More of the same next year unless we get a QB.
Nice we aren't getting blown out anymore but nor when the other team knows they only need to score 10 to win.
I think we just lack depth and a few more playmakers. Reminiscent of 2005.

The difference is that in previous years we were blown out before the end of the first quarter (games were all clearly over by half) and this year we took each of those teams into the second half. And in each game the final score (83-22) isnt indicative of how competitive the games actually were.

And before you say some bullsh%t like I’m happy with mediocrity- no, I’m not happy. But I am OBJECTIVE. And objectively this team is FAR better than previous years. It’s not even comparable

The reality is that we play three teams every year where the opponent has comparable and better players at practically every position. And playing those teams on the road is a huge disadvantage that makes matters worse.
I don’t think too many expect that Rutgers will ever be Ohio State but there is absolutely no reason for Rutgers not to become an iowa-level program. No excuse actually.

I guarantee you don't have the balls to call anyone on the staff a ***** to their face. This team has already exceeded this year's expectations so if you're not happy you might want to find a new team next year because these players and coaches will be returning.

Taulia is Jekyll and Hyde…he made some really nice plays in that game and some really bad ones too. If we see more Hyde than Jekyll then who knows.
Need to score a TD once in 30 years before you can worry of becoming elite too quickly
