have tremendous potential to do something special this year.

I am sure Bury will screw it up somehow, which has been par for the course for him the past 13 years!!!!

means you haven't done anything yet. We have one proven player, that is the only given we have at the moment. There is NO reason to expect something special.

Anyone have flashbacks to '03-'04?

Moultrie may well be our Lawrence Roberts. Sidney could be Marcus Campbell and lose his starting job the middle of the season. Bost is a seasoned PG comparable to Bowers. No Winsome Frazier, though. Maybe Steele or Bryant can be that guy.

if you don't believe that then just read the message boards. If it is not the coach who loses the game then it is the referee's fault. A win is rarely credited to the coach and his staff...rarely.

How do you know? Bost isn't a lock by any means and he is the only proven player on the team.Sidney certainly isn't based on his play so far. Hood is a freshman. Moultrie hasn't played in a year.Wait and see before you proclaim this team even average.

www.nbadraftnet says so <div>
</div><div>We didnt know the 1996 team would have 2 1st round picks- but we knew they were going to be damn good before the season started- same with this team</div><div>
</div><div>Sidney scored 16 and 7 boards last year and was out of shape. Those are quality numbers</div><div>Moultrie has played well already in hsi career, and will be nothing but better</div><div>Hood is one of the biggest recruits we've ever pulled</div><div>
</div><div>Kentucky's 2009-2010 team didnt have but 1 player that had done anything in college either- but people knew they were going to be special before they tipped too</div><div>

We knew what Darryl was. We knew what Damp was.We had a very good idea what Russel and Bullard were. The only player out of the starters that had that "potential" label on him was Dontea. The other 4 had proven thay could play HERE. We have ONE player on this team that has done that. That you even made that comparison proves what a lot here say aboutyou. In 1996 we had been to to the SWEET 16 the year before forgoodness sakes and 4 of the returning starters played a lot on that team, two started I think. I don't think went very far last year did we? We have ONE proven player from THAT team back. You are just plain nuts.

If we are proclaimed a "Final Four Team" now and do anything less that win the National Title, he can pull this post back up as an "I told you so" example for his agenda.

It is time for Stansbury to put up or shut up but there is no room for practicality for some in this Dojo, SHS.

Just watch and read between now and March and you will learn what I mean.

This is Stansbury's most talented team. We have experience at the point and at the 2-guard. We have a 6-7 small forward that will only get better with time with Hood. Sidney has experience and gave us nearly a double double last year out of shape. Moultrie will prove to be one of the best big men in the SEC this year. You will all see that. There is a reason why Kentucky was recruiting him after he left UTEP. Yes, Stansbury has underachieved, but I believe that this team can underachieve and still be one of the best teams in the SEC and make the NCAA's.

proven talent on this team as of now. We may very well wind up being very good, but there is NO reason to proclaim them such right now. Not with only ONE player that has actually shown he can do it at MSU.

Sidney did play last year- and he averaged 16 and 7- thats one of the best Center averages of the Stansbury Era....so he is a "proven" talent as well- that's 2 <div>
</div><div>Moultrie has played college basketball and has played very well on this level- thats 3</div><div>
</div><div>Hood- is one of our top recruits ever</div><div>
</div><div>Not to mentions role players we return</div><div>
</div><div>stop with the BS excuses- anything short of a Sweet 16 is a failure by this team</div>

liar. What we have coming back this year is in no WAY even CLOSE to what we had in 96.You know that and so does everyone else here. I know you hate Stans and I actually agree it's time for him to do better but to post such idiotic BS hurts your cause. I'm not making excuses, I'm just stating facts. That you think Sydney has provenhimself at MSU is the most laughable thing of all. </p>
