I only lived there for 9 years under my own volition

I take it you are an older guy who has no idea of what downtown/east Memphis/midtown areas have to offer these days because all you know is how it was when you were here. Similar to OM fans who assume Starkville and the campus are still what they 20 years ago. If you like things real quite, have no interest in sports or music, and prefer the company of assbackwards Arkansas types, thn Little Rock is definitely for you, oh and don't worry, it's a beautiful area with no crime. I won't mention my friend who lives in LR was broken in to twice over the past 6 months. Whatever your beef is with Memphis! Just know that it is laughable to declare Memphis uninhabitable if you live in Freaking Little Rock.

The violent crime is fairly concentrated and the majority of the homicides are in those neighborhoods as well. Places that the average person are going to avoid anyway.

And now I'm even more confused as to why you would prefer LR. Anyone who thinks Memphis is a ******** but loves LR just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
