Yes, many were but that's besides the point. They didn't know he had a gun nor was he being violent when they tackled him and beat his head with the teargas canister. The J6ers beat the F out of 175 cops and Mango pardoned them.
Many were? Do you have proof of all these j6ers carrying a weapon ?

I for another am even more shocked...but I assume, and this hasn't been reported in anything I've read, that there will be continued investigations on potential charges other than civil rights.
Do you think anything will be done by any department that is under the executive?

Sure, I've done it many times because it's not hard to find, though you won't see it in the propaganda sewer where you get all your "news." Here's a sampling.

Fact Check: US Capitol attack rioters had weapons, including firearms

well I read the other day that someone, I thought from DHS, had completed a preliminary investigation, was reporting to Congress, and further investigation was ongoing.

That's why I had asked the question about discharge of pretti's gun. That wasn't mentioned in the report...Although I'm not certain that would be, or not be, a mitigating data point.

Wait, so you don’t think pretti spitting on Ice agents and destroying a federal vehicle while carrying a gun is relevant? You don’t think hes on a radar now ?? lol okay
I don't think an action from 1 week ago, directly translates to another action this week.

Sure he's on the radar, an assumption on my part, but that would mean they knew he had a weapon before the confrontation.

Look, I'm not a conspiracy theorist nor am I a lawyer. I do know that a defense of reasonableness will include multiple factors and in the aggregate all the factors likely will not lead to a black and white determination that folks on the left and right will agree on. So we can speculate all we want, and in the end that's all it is - speculation

Man, we missed an opportunity with all those J6ers.

For real. Even that @JohnHughsPartner's rhetoric is a bit violent, so we could just handle that, too. Non-MAGAt-land can't wait to get back into power and implement these new rules of engagement. Now we won't have to invade 'Murica with all these illegals just to regain power ... we'll tip the scales through reduction in opposition, not addition of allies, amirite?

I would be shocked if they'd identified Pretti from the previous week at all by the time he was killed and even more shocked if the agents in question knew about him. This screams "we're looking for any reason to discredit the guy who got killed" to me. You know what, I'm sure of it. Because if he was "known" to DHS by the time he was shot there's a 0% chance they wouldn't have cited his "violent" past when they were busy calling him a domestic terrorist.

A summary, opens new tab of the cases by the Justice Department as of Jan. 3 said 180 defendants were charged with entering a restricted area with a dangerous or deadly weapon, which includes firearms and other types of weapons.

Firearms, tasers and knives were some of the types of weapons used and carried on or around Capitol grounds by rioters, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the District of Columbia, which published the status of prosecutions, opens new tab related to the Capitol attack as of Jan. 3, 2025 on its website.
For example, police found a loaded handgun on Christopher Alberts, who was dressed in body armor and carried a gas mask, Reuters reported.

A corresponding indictment, opens new tab for Alberts on the “Capitol Breach Cases, opens new tab” page of the USAO-DC website states that he had carried a semi-automatic handgun on Capitol grounds.

Reuters also reported that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration had suspended an agent, Mark Ibrahim, who was off duty but carrying his service weapon outside the Capitol during the attack, according to his lawyer.
A criminal complaint, opens new tab for Ibrahim includes as evidence a photograph that allegedly shows him near the steps of the Senate and displaying his DEA firearm and badge (page 11).

A search for the word “firearms” on the Capitol Breach Cases page with the list of defendants returns five results, including for Alberts and Ibrahim, while the word “weapon” returns, opens new tab 79 results (one case could include multiple defendants).

Rioters also used “makeshift weapons” including destroyed office furniture, fencing and stolen riot shields, according to the USAO-DC page on the status of prosecutions related to the attack.

One such indictment alleged that two defendants, opens new tab, Isaac Westbury and Aaron James, used and carried a law enforcement shield during the attack. Another indictment, opens new tab for defendant Shane Jenkins alleged he used multiple weapons, including a tomahawk axe, a flag pole, a desk drawer and “stick-like objects” during the Capitol attack.
During the 2022 congressional hearings on the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, Cassidy Hutchinson, a top aide to Trump’s chief of staff at the time, Mark Meadows, also contradicted the claim that rioters were not armed.

Hutchinson testified that both Meadows and Trump knew about people who had attended Trump’s rally at the Ellipse and later marched to the Capitol armed with AR-15 rifles, handguns, brass knuckles and batons, Reuters reported."

Are people supposed to give a **** that Pretti supposedly kicked a car tail light a week before he was murdered? Is that somehow justification for 6 officers beating him to the ground and then executing him?
“kicked a car tail light”
Is that all he did? I’d love to see what would happen to your pansy a$$ if you spat at or damaged the back of a federal vehicle(up to 10 years) btw. I’m willing to bet the ice agent would have you crying like the little b!tch that you are within seconds

Yes that's the ONLY thing it said you tard. But here's another thing to consider, the police were quickly overwhelmed and didn't have much of a chance to check for weapons so we actually don't know how many got through. But it also doesn't matter if the only evidence you need to murder someone is filming from a distance. Let's just say they over-qualified in that regard...

Yes, you are supposed to give a sh it as it gives context to the situation and refutes the false reporting over the past few days. The truth is, in fact, important.

1) Pretti was looking for trouble. He had been at multiple protests. He was antagonizing and breaking the law at previous protests. Pretti WAS not a "legal observer" as lefties on this board and in the news claimed. He as not "directing traffic" as lefties on this board and in the news claimed.

2) He violated several laws, repeatedly. In addition to breaking out a tailight, he is in violation of his carry license multiple times. He was violent and deranged. His attack on law enforcement the week before dispels any notion that he was there to direct traffic.

NONE of that means he should have been shot. It was an accident. An accident of his own making.

1). Yes he was there to alert the community about ICE's presence and observe and record their actions. ICE had just murdered another citizen the week prior, so he was part of the organized resistance to make sure ICE didn't continue to terrorize citizens and members of the community extra judicially. He WAS a legal observer. That's simply a fact. He was directing traffic while being a legal observer of ICE's actions.

2). I think its debatable what laws he violated, but he certainly wasn't violent and deranged. Quit bringing up traffic, he was letting cars pass through safely the day he died when the ICE agents attacked and murdered him. He yelled at ICE officers and kicked a tail light, days after a member of his community was murdered. Its a nothingburger.

Lol you all are so damn stupid it’s incredible. He hated ICE and wanted them dead. Karma, unfortunately.

if the local government wasn’t so stupid, none of this would have happened. Instead, they directed local law-enforcement, not to come to the aid of federal law enforcement. But as you can see over the last several days when local law-enforcement is involved in the right way, it results in less of the shenanigans and more arrests for idiots who break the law.

You leftist believe protesting involves hatred, violence, stealing, looting, vandalism, assault, etc. You like to take a singular moment, not include any context, and make it your poster child for whatever stupid ideology or point you want to make. It’s pathetic.

So the dude was a sack of sh it looking for trouble?

He didn’t deserve to die, but he his death was certainly due to his own actions.
I would agree with most of that. It did contribute in a big way to his death. But if its indeed a Sig p320 and he didnt get the defect fixed like he should have and the gun misfired that is what got him killed in the end. The other stuff lead up to that point.

The funniest thing about this paragraph of stupidity is you calling yourself a "real republican" but you're supporting actions that are historically anti-republican. Sorry, you're a populist/nationalist, not a Republican. You should spend less time browsing the clear ragebait propaganda that permeates your social media algorithm, and more time reading a ******* book and maybe you wouldn't come across as an inbred dipshit.

What do I want payback/revenge for? I'm completely disappointed with Trump 2.0 because it's been a complete change from his first term. He's leaning into authoritarianism, blatantly taking payments for pardons, and overriding the wishes of states utilizing federal agents. I was hoping some adults would join his cabinet, but it seems no one worth a **** had any interest in joining Trump 2.0 so he's stuck with unqualified sycophants running his agencies. The only person I don't really have an issue with is Bessent, because I respect his past and believe he's very intelligent. The rest of the cabinet is filled with podcast hosts, sycophants, and large donors who are unqualified for their positions.

Hey so, I realize you're angry. But you voted for someone who is sending masked agents with guns into people's communities, terrorizing families, citizen and undocumented. And now they've murdered 2 citizens who were protecting their AMERICAN communities, homes and city. There is nothing more Unamerican than that, and the American people will always stand up to that kind of tyranny.

He did hate ICE, I'm sure he didn't want them dead though- they sure wanted him dead, and murdered him, however.
