If Flood is not fired, who is giving up season tickets?

Sadly, I find myself watching other games instead of heading to our stadium. It's like cheating on your spouse. I guess all good things come to an end, even if it's temporary. I'm looking at 4 to 2 and then who knows what after that. $$$$

Probably going to go from 2 to 0. I'll still go to games but I will buy my tickets individually. Most of the time I could not find anyone to come with me.

More importantly, I am finally at a point in my life where I am able to make a serious gift to the ru athletic dept. I began to speak to some of the donors I know about the right way to go about making the gift. But after everything that has gone on this year, I am NOT going to trust them with my money. Especially after watching them threaten legal action against someone who had raised them $10,000 and counting a few weeks ago. They neither need it nor deserve it.
It really has been a comedy of errors for the past few years in the RU AD. I feel the same way, why should I donate money to folks that I think will just waste it?

4 to 2. With plans to go to zero if this disaster continues moving forward.

I'll never not renew my 2. Though I've never been this disengaged from the program as I am right now. Between the crap off the field, the inexplicable coaching decisions and the lack of competitiveness from week to week, going to games is now all about time with friends and tailgating. I find myself going into games later and leaving earlier every week, something I had been made fun of for years by my group for never missing a kickoff or the final cannon shot. It's just sad at this point.

But alas, I love this school and I love football. I can't give it up.

I will be retaining my seats in 127 with a perfect view of the field at the 45. Will always support the men on the field!

BTW - you guys giving up your seats - will have the results you want - however - your seats will be vacuumed by corporate buyers - who will likely be the future big dollar donors the program needs to elevate. Good luck getting back in! I suggest you try for Lakewood Blue Claws season tickets!

Yes, corporate buyers are dying for RU football tickets. Sarcasm!

KingHigh, anything you can share? I'd be interested in hearing more about the circumstances here. Thx.

Jesus, you're dillusional.

As I mentioned before, I sat thru the Terry Shea years, the early Schiano years and now the Flood years, I'm not giving up my tickets, and now you get to see Mich, Penn St., Mich St., Wisc, Neb, Ohio St.,....... why would I give that up? Yea, I know we take a beating but with upgrade in the coaching staff, things can't get any worse than this year. At a minimum, Rossi has to go or be demoted and bring in a real DC.

Nothing that you don't already know. The public statement issued by RU about the gofundme made it clear they intended to send a message to the creator warning against continuing. At a minimum, RU made sure the page was taken down, even though RU deliberately put its info into the gfm system to avail itself of exactly that sort of grassroots fundraising campaign.

The premis of that page was to donate money to Rutgers to fund firing Flood.

The university would never accept funds for that, which is probably why that happened.

What if someone made a donation under the premis that it was to fund Flood's removal, Rutgers accepted the money, didn't oust Flood, and they wanted thier money back because he wasn't removed? How would that happen?

The word that you are looking for is "premise". The "FireFlood" GoFundMe campaign page clearly stated that while the premise of the solicited donations was to contribute towards replacing head coach Kyle Flood, the funds would ultimately be turned over to the Rutgers Foundation with no strings attached.

The Rutgers Foundation could have ignored the campaign (after all, it had only raised a "paltry" $8.5k at the time it was shut down), or simply responded that while it appreciated the attempt at donating, it would not accept the funds for the stated promise.

But the speedy press release in the link below, describing it as an "unauthorized campaign" with an "inappropriate nature", was patently false and basically implied that concerned Rutgers alumni and fans were wrong in attempting to contribute money to the university in the way. Not only did the reaction unnecessarily criticize a portion of the Rutgers fanbase, but it actually served to publicize and in a way legitimize a previously little-known GoFundMe page.

If you can't see how this was handled improperly and actually discouraged donations, then I can't help you.

Same here. Will likely be going from 14 to 16, not because I'm a Flood fan, but because I'm an RU fan and always will be and enjoy Saturdays in the fall watching my team. And with the much more attractive opponents, more of my friends are interested in joining us.

Loving RU is exactly the reason you SHOULD NOT have tickets. No one wants to watch a bludgeoning, especially since the only reason we are getting pounded is because the admin simply does not care.

Exactly the reason I won't even watch basketball anymore. The admin is going to kill the entire athletic program. If Flood is HC Monday, you can easily make the argument we have the worst football and basketball programs in the entire p5 while being located in the richest recruiting area in the country and with some success in both before.

As an alumni I will not support it, not now, not ever. If Flood makes it past Monday I will vocally lead the charge for major change at every level. I will not pay to watch a fraudtser, criminal supporter coach who can't even win when he cheats.

Enough is enough, we all need to draw the line and force their hand.

Sorry, but you've been dropped on your head one too many times. I've made my displeasure known to the people who count, but I'd never do anything to take $$ away from Rutgers, plus there's no effing way I'd ever give up my seats or parking passes.

Everyone, keep it coming...

The silver lining....Maybe I'll get back to the blue lot!
This. I can move to the yellow lot and get 4 seats together in section 127.

Doesn't matter, PSU and Michigan fans will scoop up the season tickets next year.
