If Manziel has a statically similar year (or slightly better)...

Do you think he could win the Heisman? Do you think the Heisman voters will even put him on the ballot?

I'm bracing for Heismangate. The WWL might start another channel to cover it. The amount coverage will be nauseating.

I honestly don't think he would win it this year. Too much drama in the offseason.

One of the talking heads said that they think that if A&M had even let him talk last year that he would have never won.

/The guy is a joke.
//I cant stand him

He doesn't sniff the Heisman this year even if he throws for 500 yards/game and rushes for 200 more. No way he is even in the discussion after this last off season. I would have said he would have had a slight chance before his second half against Rice when he showed his *** like he did. That sealed his fate right there.

There was a lot of smoke but really no fire there.

His dad may have admitted to shopping him around but ultimately there was no hard proof that they were actually paid by Auburn.

It is all but a proven fact that Manziel took a **** ton of money to sign those autographs. That, plus his other recent off-the-field antics, plus his recent ON-the-field antics, point to a clear character issue that the voters probably wouldn't overlook.

If he has another year like last year, then as much as I hate the guy, I do think he should win it again. Especially if he lights up Bama a second time. But I doubt he will win it regardless of what happens.

Sort of like the Manziel situation?

Sort of like Cam Newton?

If he has a statically similar year, it would be shocking, but probably nothing to get terribly amped up about. He's certainly an electrifying player.

Are you saying there will be some resistance with Heisman voters? Maybe Faraday or two, but I think they will get over it. Right now, Manziel is the Joule of NCAA football and the voters know that.

Tie goes against him, but otherwise he still wins. I don't think he will win it because I don't think he repeats last year from a statistical perspective and dominates in a marquee matchup like Alabama. But as far as him showing his ***, I think it only hurts him if there is an argument for another player. If he does dominate like last year, he'll win. My only caveat would be if he manages to go all season acting like a NWO wrestler, maybe people will hate him enough to vote against him regardless. But I can't imagine that Sumlin will let him do that, and if he actually tries to do that, I can't imagine that his head is going to be right enough to duplicate last year.
