If we win 6 and go bowling, Mullen leaves while he's hot.

There is absolutely no way hereturns with the OL he has coming back next year. On top of that, he recruits an OT that is 6-3 (maybe)?!He would be the shortest OT in the SEC! Mullen is slowly becoming worst and laziest recruiter in the history of MSU and I cannot believe he will be here to coach the little talent he is recruiting. He is either setting himself up for failure or another coach for failure.....and my bet is another coach. I hope he turns this thing around, but its not looking good. Where am I wrong?

1. why is next years OL worse than the prospet of this years line?
2. why is 6-3 so much of a problem?....specifically

I'm thinking that he is neither 'interviewing' for another job OR dedicating his life to Davis Wade. He's just a young neive guy who believes his 'plan' works better than their 'talent'. We all get hung up on the recruiting and I'm not going to start that debate now, but he knows there is more underestimated talent out there than is indicated by stars.

He also knows his offense doesnt require the typical prototype OL, or QB......

At least I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that is the case.....

It would take a big boy to draw him away, and I don't think any boys that big have come calling.

- A six win year will be considered a failure to execute - we were rated in top 20 before season began. All of the end of year top 20 teams will go better than 6 wins.

- we will get music city or Liberty bowl. Neither of those wortha multi million dollar contract which is the onoy thing better than teh 5-7 year contract he can have at MSU if he keeps taking us to bowl games with 6 win years.

- We are heavy with wool and over value him right now - he is a very good thing for MSU. there are other better prospects for the big money guys

- Solution? you can change your posting name and then post less. A start over will be good for you.

What is wrong with a 6'3" tackle? I'm more concerned about his wing span, strength, and foot speed. Addison Lawerence is only 6'4", and so is Michael Oher. I just never have gotten the fascination with fans who think tackles need to be the tallest person on the field.

Worst and laziest recruiter in MSU history? Perhaps you've forgotten the man that threw a class together on his first signing day instead of actually recruiting, signed his buddies sons, offered scholarships to injuredplayers that will never play a down in college because they have good character, signed a qb only because he made a td saving tackle on an interception, publicly called out one of our, at the time, top commits and said we can find receivers hanging out on street corners in Miami, and did not recruit offensive linemen his last 2 years here.

is going to hire him away from you? why would he want a lateral transfer? and esp if what you say about his recruiting is true, then i doubt he's going anywhere.

until my 17 year old posted something a few months ago and many of you responded similarly to this. If you had known that the post was written by someone in high school you would have rolled your eyes and moved on. So i will assume that this post is written by a juvenile or an idiot and I will not get upset andmove on down the board.

history. I.E. in the eyes of the rest of the world if Mullen takes lowly MSU to back to back bowls what in the world could he do at a school with adequate resources. What the poster is trying to say is with poor recruiting Mullen`s window of opportunity can close quickly......and he`s right. I`ll assure you this fact is not lost on Mullen and his agent.

after a similar set of seasons at Ole Miss.

He went 8-4 in his 3rd year and had us finishing in the Top 25 that year, 1997. In 1998, he went 6-5 with a few very close wins, and no other big wins, and Auburn hired him away.

I think what Tuberville did was more impressive than what Mullen has done simply because of the state of the programs at the time each was hired, but it wouldn't be unprecedented for Mullen to get a call after going 6-6 (2-6).

..Mullen is about as hot as a eskimo's johnson.

I am used to reading ignorant takes here, but this one has to be in the sixpackspeak.com historical top 10.

.. coach34 uses this board to swiftboat Stansbury for what Stansbury has done over 13 seasons. I use this board to occasionally point out what a disappointment Dan Mullen has been this specific 2011 season. I guess in your mind that puts me & coach34 on equal footing.

If you think a $2.5 million coach that has totally 17ed a pre-season top 20 team is "hot," then state your case.

This is not directly pointed at MSU in 2011, but more a general question about using pre-season rankings as a good measure of coaching ability.

worst probabtion the ncaa ever handed out short of the death penalty was nothing short of miraculous. BigD is right...would "could' happen is not impossible but i just don't think what mullen has done this yr is going to get him a promotion. he may yet prove to be msu's JHV but right now the evidence is a little thin.

Cheese-dick Ronny would still have crooms as our coach, if it were somehow up to him. Yet, we have a few slip ups and he's ready to fire Dan. What a moron.

...the idiot who was hen-pecking the board after every baseball loss this past baseball season?

Stating the obvious here, but you & coach34 are cut from the same cloth.
