Not a rule suggestion but I don't remember seeing a Facebook "Like" button in the threads until now. When did this happen?
This appears in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Edit to add: As far as plugins are concerned, I think it's just the basics but these should be the most recent versions of the browsers.

Can you get to facebook.com? If you can't - i don't think the like button will show. if you can - not sure what's happening.
A committee needs to be formed to weed out the newbies/stupid posts/useless banter. For a new users first 100 posts, each post must reviewed by the committee to decide if it's "worthy of the pack". After 100 reviewed posts the user is considered, AFOSP (a friend of six pack) and recieves free reign to post at will. Or, the poster becomes "all boy" and is cast from the temple.
20. Users are required to push the limits of all rules. The fact that doing this, as well as the failure to do this, may lead to your bannation achieves two important message board purposes: it adds to the excitement for you, as you know not when you may be banned for pushing limits or failing to push limits. It more importantly adds to the fun for us as we get to act as arbiters of arbitrary justice, which is the most honest and basic kind of justice there is. We get bored, as I'm sure you understand . . .

I don't think that list is entirely accurate. Some of that data got lost in the transition.

I think that must've been one of the purge days, or around one of those. Apparently I read-only for at least 2 years before my first username because I can remember reading the board as far back as 2006, but my first username wasn't registered until 3/3/08, which I remember doing solely to ensure I could still read during one of those purge processes.
**** I was too scared to post back then because of the extreme hazing that went down on new posters.
ETA: Just saw DS' explanation of the day. That jives a little better with my memory of having to register back in 2006 so my reading ability would survive one of HD6's purges.
