A couple of points to be made (I know this will appear random): 1st about tracking employees at the hospital, the rumor has it that it is a real Peyton Place and they are interested in who's having affairs...what's an oncology employee doing in the cardiac area, etc. etc.
This after calling everyone else naive? Lolz.

I call ******** on FMLA. I know if the 2 hospitals in morgantown the non union hospital recognizes it and their employees use it all the time.
I never said Morgantown and no, I won't name the hospital. It is true whether you believe it or not. They fire people for very random stuff...and most of the time they get away with it, other times they get a nice lawsuit slapped against them and the plaintiff does very well.

Is it an "At will" company/state? If so, a business can fire you without provocation and reason. Where they can get into trouble is if the individual is in a protected class: Over 45, female, or minority. Most HR dept's won't let you without adequate documentation and justifiable backup. With protected classes, you really have to have increased backup and documentation. If it is a "Right to Work" state, then there are a whole lot of other issues that apply. There is a lot more to what you are claiming that you clearly don't understand or if you do, choose to ignore to validate your allegations.

It's WV and I promise, everything I have said is true. They don't do a very good job of providing documentation to "justify" their firings. Most of the time it's housekeeping or maintenance personnel (and no I'm not being condescending). The hospital knows they won't (usually) get representation. A few times, it has bitten them in the ***.

WV is an "At Will" state. They can legally fire anyone they want for any reason to and including no reason.

I suspect a bunch of ******** in the hospitals stories. Medical services personnel are in demand and would have to commit a rather serious infraction to be terminated. On the other hand, housekeeping and maintenance can be some of the sorriest. Who has been to hospital in WV and gave a good report on sanitation and cleanliness??? Those facilities require exceptional care due to the illnesses and germs that can be spread. Someone working in that environment should not be treated with kid gloves and given multiple chances to fail to comply.
