Thread. I have to say that was one of the most entertaining
Games I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. I agree
That relfs fumble was huge but there were so many big plays
It is hard to single one out. Upig has a fine team and so do we
The future is bright and I can't ever recall being this excited about
Msu football. Go dawgs.

I was thinking when they called the timeout. They are adjusting to defend the run and get their goal line defense on the field. Easy to say today, because we know the first run resulted in loss yardage, but would have been nice to see a pass there. Butinthe coaches' defense, thenext two runs pick up 10 yards.So.......

Ark called the TO and made some defensive adjustments, we ran the same plays and failed to score the TD. Mullen was out-coached on our last possession in regulation. Hopefully the coaches and team will move on to beating those Wild Rebel Bears.......

I don't think Mullen wasout-coached as much as he just made the wrong decision. Which is easy for us to say now.I think he knew they were going to load up on the run coming out of the TO. However, he stayed with what we always run in that situation. He went conservative and played for the FG.While hoping maybe Relf or Ballard would bust a run for aTD. Whichheand everyone else knew was highly unlikely given the TO and them switching personnel.

The thing that gets me about the sequence.....at least throw the ballinto the endzone once. Because.....we damn near ran out of time running. Second, even if you get the first down on the third down run. You have to throw it on first down from the 5. Why not throw it earlier? Otherwise, if you run, and don't get it.... you don't get the FG unit on the field. Third, we put ourselves right back into the situation in the 2nd OT. We face a 3rd and 7 and throw it there. Time was not a factor in that situation. Then we are in 4th and 7 and a FG is not an option and everyone knows we are throwing.

Again, easy to say today, butthe play calling for those two situations were reversed. We should haveran the quick slant to Arceto Clark in regulation. Then ran on third down in OT to set up a manageable 4th down or possible 1st down.

We all knew Arkansas and Mallet would probably beat us in OT. He was starting to heat up and so was their offense. We had to score a TD in regulation, or at least really try, instead Mullen played for the OT and it cost us the win.

He did not mention the T word, c34 did. Relf did a good job in the game. For four or five months the board has been subjected to the rants of c34 about Relf being our only chance to win. Well if he is then he shoulder the reasons for losing. He did miss open receivers, reads on the options, and fumble. Accept the obvious and leave Russell out of it.
