Why would MD take a time out.? While I don't GS for not being too aggressive here, it gives you a sense of how much he trusts GW.

lol run the ball and then throw Hail Mary, zero intermediate to get into field goal range

Well, that was the bad, the ugly...then the sorta good.

We get the ball to start the half. Let's make it count.

And if he got sacked and fumbled? Not crazy about it but need points on first drive.

It seems like Maryland mocking the chop may have just made this into a rivalry in the players' minds which is potentially what was needed lol

What I am seeing is Rutgers is very dangerous with making interceptions, and that got into Tagovailoa's head messing up his game.

The key will be field position. If he is throwing from better than his own 40 I think he will have success

Just when I was going to give up on Wimsatt he hit those long passes and I am back on the GW band wagon.
I don’t want to be mean but those are 50 / 50 Hail Mary types. Washington made a great play. But nothing Wimsatt has done today in the air has really been “good” other than the TD pass.

I do agree with others. We’re losing this game because of the D not the offense.

Well things don't look so bleak anymore.
But RU needs to make the Turtles think pass and run and not play the run and challenge RU to pass.
The RU D has settled down and now the 2nd half might just be a different game, hopefully.

edit: the sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach has left , hope has returned

The problem is that RU shouldn't be in this predicament in the first place. Not enough decent QB talent has been recruited the last several years. The QBs that have come through our doors haven't been developed well and we're once again in a situation where realistically we have a QB that should be sitting behind others while he learns and gets better, not starts. But, without him, we have no one. Hopefully, the younger QBs are developing and will be ready (enough) when their number is called.

I used to think Harbaugh was crazy for recruiting a QB every year. Now, I realize what happens when you don't.
