We come out of the shell when forced to, like down 28-3 but now that it’s closer again and they seem to be making some mistakes I figured they’d go in content at this position before half and getting the ball to start the third.

As bad as Gavin has looked at times, 17 points should be enough to have a chance. D can’t give up 28 points and 300 yards passing in one half.
Just when I was going to give up on Wimsatt he hit those long passes and I am back on the GW band wagon.
The key will be field position. If he is throwing from better than his own 40 I think he will have success
I don’t want to be mean but those are 50 / 50 Hail Mary types. Washington made a great play. But nothing Wimsatt has done today in the air has really been “good” other than the TD pass.

The problem is that RU shouldn't be in this predicament in the first place. Not enough decent QB talent has been recruited the last several years. The QBs that have come through our doors haven't been developed well and we're once again in a situation where realistically we have a QB that should be sitting behind others while he learns and gets better, not starts. But, without him, we have no one. Hopefully, the younger QBs are developing and will be ready (enough) when their number is called.
