It doesn’t matter what they do now. The big money is flowing and will do so under the table or a back alley if necessary.
This is right. As long as there are men that want to pay big dollars to a 17 year old to sign with their preferred school, the money is going to be there making decisions.

That said, we need a more stable roster situation. 1 year commitments are bad for the sport. Pro leagues aren't built on that being common place and neither should college. Contracts need to be made where both parties have skin in the game and provide for better long term roster management. Buyout requirements, 2 year minimums, bring back 1 year sit out in a transfer, etc.

It's always the same pattern. The government threatens a company/organization/etc. that if you don't get your act together, we'll do it for you.

Maybe if Congress would actually go to work and stay off X,TikTok and taking vacation the need for executive orders would decrease
I don’t know how informative raw executive order numbers are. Not all executive orders are equal. Some do nothing more than state a policy position. It seems like Trump especially likes to sign executive orders just to announce a talking point that may or may not be followed through with real action.

Theodore Roosevelt: 1,008 executive orders
William Howard Taft: 724 executive orders (one term)
Woodrow Wison: 1,803 executive orders
Warren Harding: 522 executive orders (2.4 years)
Calvin Coolidge: 1,203 executive orders (5.6 years)
Herbert Hoover: 1,003 executive orders (one term)
Franklin Roosevelt: 3,725 executive orders.

It's not the quantity, it's the quality.

Although, to be fair, before SCOTUS expanded the meaning of "interstate commerce" to enable Roosevelt's New Deal, there was less Congress could do.
