I am open for the one that has the 30 pin connector for the 4s and below but as long as it sits flush and stable in the docking station with the converter.

I googled for about 5 min but didn't find anything I wanted.

This is for work so I don't need anything wireless. Just wanted something to play through the docking station while charging. Plus, I wanted a digital tuner for terrestrial radio. #BigWord

Go to Hudson's/Dirt Cheap. I was at the one in Starkville looking for an hdmi cable and saw iphone radio/clocks stacked to the ceiling. You get what you pay for though.

I want it to be flush and be stable inside the docking station. Is there a good converter for docking stations? It seems they would have to be developed by the companies.

Not sure what you mean by "flush and stable", but can't you just plug this (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter) into the radio dock, then plug your phone into the adapter? Doesn't look like it would add very much height or "instability" to the system. Alternately, you might look to see if someone makes one with a 3' cord between the female 30-pin and the male Lightning. That way you could plug the cable into the radio and leave your phone on your desk - of course, this wouldn't be "flush"

Anyone seen a 30-pin female to 30-pin male? Basically an extension cord. I have a radio dock that I don't use because the phone case prevents docking.

I haven't looked in a while, but didn't see any on your apple link and remember only finding sketchy ones on ebay last time...

I have heard with the extra height b/c of the connector - the phone doesn't sit flush which make it susceptible to falling out of the docking station.

Sounds like you have a life proof case. Go to the life proof website and they have extenders that should work with most other cases as well.
As for the original post. I like and have 2 Sony docking station type speakers that work really well with our iPhone 4S. We have one with an alarm and radio and one that is just a speaker. Both will charge. We use the 30 pin extender as we have life proof cases and the little door prevents from sitting all the way down I'm the cradle. It's not flush but Its pretty stable, espically if just sitting on your desk.

Yeah, I didn't know if the extender was stable enough to dock the phone (seems kinds flimsy when you dock).

This is more of what I was thinking, but the ones on ebay still seem sketch (probably won't charge the phone).

Shouldn't fall out unless you hit it pretty hard. Should be fine if just sitting on your desk or cabnet or bedside table.

A friendly submission...

I have this and love it: http://steminnovation.com/timecommand
It has lots of features like it will turn on your bedside lamp with your alarm if you want, and a 5-band equalizer that you control from your phone. And it goes pretty loud.
I'm not sure about iPhone5 compatibility.
