Is App State the best College football team in NC?

Many big time recruit's out of NC will confirm. Do an unofficial visit to Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State than go visit Carolina. I have heard louder crowds at Texas High School games. Not a great game time experience playing @ Home for the Heels.

I will say if Charlotte can fire their AD and football coach and bring in people who know what the hell to do they can be a force. Sam Greiner even made a note on twitter that if Charlotte won the city of Charlotte and surrounding areas in recruiting they'd be competing for CUSA title every year.
Sadly we have an AD who has been here far too long and is just fine with having a "clean" program over a winning one. Sucks.

I used Fayetteville State as an example. Majority of their team is from charlotte and they won their conference championship this yr. I know it's not D1 but if u get the right coach with the right staff n motivated athletic training staff at UNCC man u could compete in the sunbelt AAC heck ACC with nc talent alone

Charlotte is run by a bunch of losers who do not care about winning. If they cared they would've canned Lambert this year.
Many say "Be patient" why? GA State and UTSA are virtually brand new programs along with us and GA State was in a bowl game this year(beat us 28-0 in Charlotte) and UTSA was in one last year.
C-USA is not that hard to compete in, they showed that in 2016 with a 4-8 mark and two one point losses away from 6-6....yet they feel 1-11 is ok. Joke.
ECU is light years ahead of Charlotte, which is scary considering how bad they were this season

Lol at this even being a subject. If Wake, State or Duke played in the Sun Belt they would dominate. Fedora would find a way to screw it up, but he'd be successful too lol...

Don't think Wake nor Duke would dominate the sun belt.

Knotts would put UNC-CHARLOTTE on the map, well at least make them respectable. Knotts know where to recruit in both North and South Carolina. No brainer hire to me

Duke & Wake would handle most teams in the Sun Belt.

Sunbelt is nothing to brag about. App State & Ga Southern 1st joining Sun Belt. dominated teams more than they did FCS Southern Conference the last couple of years.

LOL Knotts? Hell no, he will never leave DF. Not for the stress of a college job, even at a crappy job like UNCC you're putting in 14-16 hour days nearly all season. Yeah he'll take a pass and continue on not teaching and making over 100K at DF oh and he'll win more there.
So let's get this pipe dream outta there champ.

Champ forgets Knotts already tried the college gig as an asst and said no thanks, so let's put down the pipe and look at what UNCC can actually do to improve.

Yes- Once every 5-10 years someone jumps up and catches a big boy napping. Means very little in the big picture.

You would have to define what dominate means for me. One season? Multiple seasons?? Go undefeated?

I think in most years you would be able to add 2 to 3 wins on to Duke or Wake in the Sun belt but if they did play in the Sun Belt and not the ACC the recruiting level would fall off so its hard to guage.

They'd do at least as well as App, probably better. So yeah, first or second most years. That's dominating. Who in that conference would beat Duke and Wake consistently year after year? I don't see anyone.
