is it me or is Momma Nkemdiche trying to become a superstar out of this...

She's a mother who lives in a different country from her sons.

At the risk of sounding like an extreme-right-wing anti-immigrationist, does anyone know the citizenship status of Robert? How is it that he is attending a public school in Georgia, if his mother is a Nigerian politician? Maybe he has dual citizenship or a host family or something. Didn't he live with Schuessler at one point? Really just curious.

I don't get that impression either

She wants to see them play in one place. She is familiar with OleMiss because of the younger son. She is in Nigeria. I doubt she knows the difference between any school not named OleMiss and evidently Alabama.

Also, She is interviewed because the 'crootin writers and bloggers have customers that want to know what she has to say.

Get ready boys. It is looking like this is going to happen. It will be the best thing that happened to Lil Hamlet since Freeze walked across Sardis and McConaughey partied at The Library.

how's WR working out for Jason?

Did he travel to Starkville to watch Tennessee lose or did he watch it at the house?

Her answers are perfectly fine and represent a normal parent. But she has been interviewed so much, it just seems she is enjoying the limelight as well.

Robert will end up in Oxford. And I tell ya what else. That will be 3 5 star players on the dline along w Gross. CJ has played much better this year. Ward is a player. Gross may be better than both of them. Then the brothers Ndkwhatever Denzel is proving to be a player and if his brother is better than him, the black bear D is gonn a be better next season regardless of how bad we want them to suck.

I think its just part of the deal now with top prospects in football.

Clowney's family had a film crew follow him around before he announced;

Also, who can forget Swindoll interviewing Pegues' mother 3-4 times before he signed with MSU. For a prospect as hyped as Nkedmiche and the AJC knowing that sports sells, and they have a local kid that move the needle and sell papers, Im surprised there haven't been more interviews. By my count she has done one for ESPN and one for the AJC.

The AJC repeated the ESPN article around 5 times to keep moving the needle. There is one AJC reporter that has reported the ESPN article several times.

D.T. Shackleford will be back too.....

They'll be decent on paper, from the perspective of those who follow recruiting. Liggins will likely play DL, but he won't be ready next year. They'll be decent until the 2011 class leaves, they've all been starting as freshmen. They'll have a dropoff after that.

I'm most surprised in all of this that Dabo and the IPTAY nation aren't "heppin'" Denzel come back east. If you're going to *****-out your entire program, you might want to work over the Pimp's lead ***** first.

I didn't really see anything wrong with her attitude. If I had to guess though, I'd say he'll wind up at Ole Miss if that's what Momma wants. And it sounds like they snowed her during her visit ... not so sure about the quality academics though. Probably about the same as Clemson. But I think she likes Alabama because it's the most popular and best team in the country right now, and if he were to go there he'd probably have a lot greater recognition than if he is at Ole Miss.

I wonder if she sends those out ....

I guess you know that if you're an Alabama booster, you just committed an NCAA violation and all Alabama wins this year will be vacated, including the one last Saturday night ....

We have as many starters and more contributors from our '12 class then our '11 class and our '13 class will end up loads better than either or and that's recruiting after the worst two year stretch in our program's history. You're beyond incorrect

More luck...

OM offered a girl a volleyball scholarship and within a week her 4-star TE brother decommitted from Florida State and committed to OM. Lucky again.

She's a politician. Name me one politician in history in any country

that didn't enjoy the limelight and didn't enjoy their name in the paper.

must one have a social security number, finger prints and a permanent address to be considered a "booster"?

She's a Nigerian politician. Sponsor a Sally Struthers kid and you are a member of their Congress.

How is Clemson "going out of her way"? It's only 100 miles from his HS in GA.

THIS - she also says "there's nothing to take me to clemson". Really, your son committing to go to college there isn't a reason to visit, yet it's the same reason she gives for visiting Ole Miss? Just odd.

Further she says she hasn't talked to Clemson, but "would". There is no 17ing way Dabo isn't dialing that number 3 times a week at least since she's constantly quoting as not liking to school. I speculate she's not answering the phone and returning calls. Otherwise Dabo is a moron.

As others have said her idea of not pressuring and mine are quite different. But to each their own.

I was under the impression that Dabo and staff had already been on a plane to meet with her at some point in the past... I definitely read that somewhere previously. Definitely strange that she hasn't talked to them at all...

Just a guess, but his citizenship would probably be related to being born in Atlanta, GA. I'm not 100%, but I think that is in America, and therefore would make him an American citizen, just like every other person born within our borders.

I wont believe that til I see his birth certificate...

I didn't know he was born in Atlanta. Thanks for the answer and the added sarcasm, I didn't expect anything less.

...college football recruiting has gotten so stupid, they now interview the mother? College football recruiting is disintegrating into American Idol. Let's interview mommy after her son is relegated to spot duty his senior year, or after his 3rd DUI arrest before his sophmore season. That's when the pearls of wisdom should really start flowing.

Thata capitalism. If people will read it, they will write it. The fact this board started a multiple page thread about an interview from a mother of a player you aren't recruiting proves the validity of conducting and publishing the interview. People seem to care
