The talking heads at BTN talked as if they punched their ticket yet they had reservations about Rutgers.

I wonder what we look like compared to them in a side by side résumé comparison? NET, Kenpom, Q1, Q2 record, etc.

That was a nice win for them yesterday. Some teams just match up better against certain other teams. While we beat them 2x, I think they are a more dangerous NCAA Tournament team.

If the B-10 gets 9 teams and either PSU or RU lose today, I would be very surprised if the conference does not have one team in Dayton.

I don’t understand how they are a lock but we aren’t.

I think their body of work is slightly better but beating them twice (once at their place) should be considered.

4 Q3 losses for Rutgers never goes away

PSU strength of record = 35
RU strength of record = 56

Among the bubble teams, PSU is near the top and we're near the bottom. It's only one metric, but I think it helps answer your question.

We are always battling the “name” schools for headlines, favoritism and benefit of the doubt .

PSU even has a better ooc sos than RU at 275 to 309

both schools need to do a lot better with that

Yeah it looked good on paper with Butler, Furman and a few others expected to compete for the conference or be relevant. Furman might be the biggest thing of all in the end when it comes to seeding. They are going to upset someone in the first round.

Beating them twice means nothing
